any recent updates causing frame rate issues?

Sorry to ask such a lame question but I have been in the process of moving over the last month or so. Just hooked up my gaming system with a Ryzen and RTX 2070 that was running Madden 20 at 4k 60fps pretty steady. I allowed my computer to do some updates as well as allowed Madden to update to the latest patch. Launching it without even using Frosty yet and I'm getting very stuttery gameplay. It's in the 40s but seems even more stuttery like. Can anyone enlighten me if there were any patches or updates that may have caused this before I start troubleshooting the heck out of my machine? FYI I ran NBA2k20 at 4k 60fps no issue so I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with my setup all of a sudden. Just thinking it might have been a patch or a driver issue I wasn;t aware of. Thanks.

I've experienced no changes.

Think I found the culprit. Acronis active protection had gotten turned back on somehow. This caused frame rate issues in the past on other EA games. I am now back to smooth gameplay.
