My CPU vs CPU Watch experiment + Sabo 1.4 mod
I am a different breed of franchise player. I enjoy letting my players show off their talents than having me influence they by usering or with my ability or inability to call a good game plan. I CPU vs CPU slow super sim watch my teams playing. Maddens in the past had a hard time adjusting to this and usually put up some funky stats but I am feeling optimistic about Sabo's mods. I played around with his 1.3 for a bit and noticed quite a big different and now 1.4 is out it is time to further my experiment. Please click on the link to read my OP in his mod thread for further details. It will be an intensive study that will hopefully end with a great set of cpu vs cpu sliders.

Re: My CPU vs CPU Watch experiment + Sabo 1.4 mod
Getting pretty close to half way mark and I am seeing a pretty steady pattern. It is ugly. Once I complete wk 8 I will compile the stats for my team and my opponents in a spreadsheet my cousin and I designed that will display stats on week by week basis, tally up season stats, show you the top three team leaders in a lot of categories, and show you a pie chart for offense for the division of Yards from Scrimmage; minus the QB.
Because the names of my opponents change every week for that data sheet I will use generic names like Qb1, HB1, HB2 just so we can track their stats. I will add in the name of the opponent on the week by week charts. The data should be up later today. -
Re: My CPU vs CPU Watch experiment + Sabo 1.4 mod
Alright folks, 8 games of football played and I have the results tabulated. Just a quick review of what I am doing for my first run:
1) Default Madden Sliders
2) All Pro, 11 minute qtr, no clock run off
3) Only Mod is removing Enforcer roles from everyone that has it.
4) Default Baltimore Ravens playbooks
5) Most current official roster with pre-existing injuries on
6) Collecting this data to compare to another same season run with Sabo's 1.4 mods, sliders, with the same exact roster, same qtr length, clock setting, but on All Madden as he suggests.
This is my first time posting a file to share with google docs. It was created in Excel and I edit and tabulate with Libre Open Office's version of Excel and it works perfectly fine.
To view everything this sheet has to offer:
1) Make sure you click on each individual week tab at the top of the screen
2) I am only up to week 8 once you view that tab, go to tab for Season, Yards from Scrimmage, and Awards.
3) Click on the season tab to see the season totals.
4) Click on Season Leaders to see a neat display of the top three performers in specific stats
5) Click on the Yards from Scrimmage to see a neat pie chart of who contributes the most total rush and pass yards to the team (minus the QB). Hover your mouse over the colored sections to get the names of the players, their total yardage number, and the % they contribute to the offense.
6) The awards section and OL numbers will be tabulated at the end of the full season, sorry.
7) This was originally created to track NFL HeadCoach 09 Stats. There are some stats that game tracks that Madden does not. If you see something unfamiliar and blank, disregard it
Now let me see if I can post a correct link:

Re: My CPU vs CPU Watch experiment + Sabo 1.4 mod
Just another quick note.
I wasn't aware that the game does not keep track of pancakes or dropped passes in the box score after you've exited the actual game. It only puts that data in the box score at the end of the game you've played if you look at stats there. I will try to do a better job of keeping those stats in my Sabo Mod season since I've already done 1/2 of this current season without being able to track those data points.Comment

Re: My CPU vs CPU Watch experiment + Sabo 1.4 mod
Compiling all of my opponent's data through wk 8 and will be posting a link to that spreadsheet as well. Doing week 4 now so it should be up in about an hour or so. Then I will get back to playing the rest of the season out and will post the season totals for both my team and my opponents.
If you've checked out the data sheets please let me know what you think of them?Comment

Re: My CPU vs CPU Watch experiment + Sabo 1.4 mod
Going to be collecting data for the rest of the season now so probably won't be an update for a couple of days while I watch all the games, compile the data, and then get it up on here to share.
I am on Discord and part of the Madden Modding Community server:

Re: My CPU vs CPU Watch experiment + Sabo 1.4 mod
The current version of this spreadsheet I am using wasn't designed for the team name to change every single week. It was originally designed just to keep track of your franchise you are using. To be honest, I didn't even think it would let me change the team from week to week. The same reason why I have to use generic names like QB1 and HB1 and HB2. If I entered a different name every week it would completely screw up the season tabulation.
The sheet is set up so that whatever data you input at week one automatically sets up your sheet for the rest of the season. Since Miami was the first team on the schedule it is taking that for the season total tab. Just have to go with that for now.
The sheet I am submitting to googledocs shouldn't have any modification properties to it. Should be a read only. If you are interested in using this sheet for your own purposes contact me in a PM here.Comment

Re: My CPU vs CPU Watch experiment + Sabo 1.4 mod
Yeah, I am using a shoe horn to cram Madden 20 stats into something that was originally designed for a single franchise in HC09. I wanted to get my data collected before I spent hours and hours writing up a new Excel Sheet.
The Rams are still in St. Louis and the Chargers are still in San Diego according to my chart. Since I know the Raiders are set to move in the near future and the Chargers or Rams, and possibly the Jaguars could be on the move I might make a change to forgo the city name and just stick with the team name. I might also see what I can do about creating ones either for the relocation teams in Madden 20 or just making the field one you can custom edit yourself depending on what Madden does in the future with relocation teams. Back in the day you could move your team anywhere and call it anything you like.
It works as intended for my Baltimore Ravens team I am controlling. For the Opponents Data you can click on each individual week and see which team I faced. The season total page will show you the total yards earned by each position on those teams. Like all the WR1's, WR2's and so forth. It can't for instance track Ryan Fitzpatrick's numbers from week one and display them under his name, and then track Kyler Murray's numbers from week two under his name and display them both under the season totals. So, what I did was just call the starters for all of my opponents QB1.
Hopefully that makes some sense. I have several other versions of this same data collection sheet. I am seeing which one is closest to what we might need for one for Madden 20 and then trying to see what I can update on it to make it prettier. For me, it is always about function over form. I would like to create something that works properly first and foremost and that people also enjoy. If there is some demand for this sheet I will see what I can do about making it available. I don't completely own the rights to the original work so I have to check with my collaborator and see what he wants to do with it.Comment

Re: My CPU vs CPU Watch experiment + Sabo 1.4 mod
Just finished the last game of the season and boy did the Ravens save their best game for last...a 20-0 blowout by the Steelers led by Mason Rudolph. On the last series of the game Lamar Jackson had a drive that summed up this season perfectly, two sacks in a row where he dropped back, dropped back more, dropped back more, stood like the Statue of Liberty, and got sacked for losses of 10 yards or more each time, then on the next play he launched his 3rd INT of the game to seal the deal. Perfect.
I am taking a bit of a breather and then I will be entering the data from the season into my spreadsheets. I have 8 games of data to enter for not only my team, but my opponents as well so it will take awhile.
I was planning on making another sheet for penalties and injuries but I have to tell you there were so few it isn't even worth doing the work. I will just make posts here stating what they were.Comment

I'd love if you would show data on what raising different players archetypes does for the team. Like does a team that calls for route runner WR's really need 4 route runners WR's to pump out the best team or can you have 3 route runners and a deep threat...?
If you wanna compare how the cpu vs cpu plays out.... you should compare sabo's agains't Shane's CPU v CPU, and Landeye's CPU v CPU.
I've tried a billion different sliders, shane's mod and landeyes... I've tried with superstar abilities on and off and so far I like Sabo's mod with speed threshold at 75 for CPU v CPU the best. The game is noticely smoother... not saying it's perfect but the imperfections at this point mostly have to do with play calling which I think is an inherent madden problem and sabo has done his best to fix it.Comment

I would have my buddy over and we would call plays against the cpu..with teams we created.
My question is to you if I buy the pc version will I be able to host game and just call plays for one team while other is cpu controlled ?Comment
