Madden 21 Pc stuttering

Hope this can help someone who may have encountered the same issue. Madden 20 on PC ran smooth for me (rtx 2080ti, i9900k) on either uncapped or locked 60fps on a 200hz gsync monitor, but Madden 21 was stuttery even on uncapped ~150FPS OR 60fps capped (on either dx11 or dx12)

I ended up installing rtss and capping the frame at really anything 60, 120.. And now the game runs smooth. Something about the in game fps limiter that is not efficient on my system at least? I set Madden to no limit in fps and let Rtss handle the rest.

I also noticed that my FPS dropped about 15FPS between playing in Ultimate Team and playing in Face of the Franchise.

Unsure about the reason for that. Frame Rate definitely isn't stable though.

If you have a GSYNC monitor open the nvidia control panel and set
Monitor technology to GSYNC
And turn on VSync (For GSYNC to activate this need to be set on)
then Low latency mode to Ultra.
This should give you a smooth framerate at any fps, also I noticed it's way smoother on DX11 even if the FPS are the same

Go to Task Manager > Details, then right click M20 and change the priority to realtime.

I am getting good frames during gameplay. Only issue I have is the framerate drops 30 every time I am in the menus and during pregame intros.

Same for me. Gameplay FPS seems fine but I do notice a slowdown during the intros and some menus. Could be worse, I suppose.

I was one that had a bunch of trouble trying to get M20 to run smoothly, so I'll take this.

Update just dropped and fixed the issue for me. Dx12 now runs smooth without requiring FPS limiting by RTSS.

I no longer see the FPS drop in between plays either.

Just updated and I’m seeing more stuttering. Seems the frames drop to 30fps in the menus also. Gonna mess around with it and see if I can fix it

Someone posted the same thing in the General forum, but i'm seeing the opposite after the recent patch.

I had no issues before this update and now the game won’t go past 30 frames in the menus or gameplay. Game is non playable now.

I had some stuttering pre patch, but now it’s worse. It’s a shame. It seem to take forever before madden 20 ran smooth on my system. I was hoping 21 would be different.

just got in to do a quick look and exhibition match. PC framelocked at 141 with rivatuner, gsync, 1080p everything on ultra except no tripple buffering. Stays at 141 in the menus and gameplay, some cutscenes still drop it into the 90s/100s so it's behaving just like it did at launch.

Was hoping they would fix a couple of the cutscenes that seemed to be rendered in the 30's. There's an outside the stadium blimp view that does this and one on the field scene. Triggers my gsync flickering due to the frame drop but that's an issue I've dealt with many games that use prerendered low fps scenes.

Although I have a 120hz ultradewide 1440p monitor, I'm currently using my C9 OLED and its capped at 60fps. Can't wait until the 3090 drops so I unlock 4K 120 on my OLED. The random 30 fps cutscenes are hard to deal with.

Anybody else still having this issue? I've messed around with every setting on my PC and the game just feels so jittery. Frame rates just bouncing all over the place. Game is almost unplayable for me right now.

Wondering if there is a fix or if this something that just needs to be patched?
