Does Madden 22 run smoothly for anyone? My laptop is above the game requirements and my frame rate goes down to 30 regularly. I don't use v-sync, I turn off most all on field graphics. I reduced grass, crowd, and shadows to low. I set my video card to performance. I set the game to a higher priority in the pc task window. I regularly unclutter my laptop with a maintenance program. All pc and video card drivers are updated. I set the frame rate to unlimited. Kickoffs lag the worst I've missed field goals due to lag. Does anyone have any other tricks to make the game run smoother?

i had been dealing with this issue since the game was released...actually returned my purchase twice, then they had the price drop for the loyalty price on origin and i bought it again. I found if I run it on directx 12, then it works ok. The issue persists for the first user play of a game, whatever that ends up being depending on your sim, but only stutters for like a second then recovers just fine from there. -

*Additionally, I checked my system folder and found duplicates of some dll files.
These files are part of the C++ update from what I understand and removing the duplicate files seems to have helped alot of stuff can't say if that's what fixed Madden, probably not, but here's my list.
SYSWOW folder:
msvcp140.dll
vcruntime140.dll
SYSTEM 32 Folder:
msvcp140.dll
vcruntime140.dll
There is a 32 bit file and 64 bit for each of those. You have to make sure the 64 bit version goes into the system 32 file and the 32 bit goes into the SYSWOW folder...yeah sounds backwards, but that's how that works.

I'm on PC. Watercooled 9900k and EVGA HydroCopper 2080ti. At 4K res, maxed settings. What you need to do is go into Nvidia control panel and cut vsync on there. On or adaptive FOR MADDEN ONLY, NOT FOR UR COMPLETE SETTINGS. This will eliminate drops below ur monitor's resolution. No more 30fps cap. In-game vsync is broken this year, as is the fps cap. This WILL fix the issues of the 30fps drop.Comment

After the scouting update I was able to just play with minimal lag. Now I can just play with the graphic settings the game the game determined will work well. No extra tricks. Still lags on kickoffs and occasionally when kicking. Icing the kicker for me is lag occurring when I kick field goals.Comment
