why is Jeremy Mincey so slow in madden?

Why is Jeremy Mincey so slow as a 4-3 DE?
67 speed really? He is one of the slowest Dline players on our team at that rating. I was thinking atleast 75 speed. 67 is the speed of a 3-4 DE or DT's. He has to be the slowest 4-3 DE in the game.

Speed isn't all that matters for a DE....

He could have speed and still not shed blocks good enough to be a Pass Rusher.

I would rather have a DE with 67 speed and 85 PMV + 85 FMV as opposed to a DE with 78 speed and 70 PMV + 70 FMV because chances are in close qtr's while engaged with a blocker his speed isn't going to decide who wins that matchup.

By the way just for the record a 4.76 Combine Time for Mincey back in 2006 most likely would have only had his speed at that time around 73 overall.

He was also only around 260 lb's at the time he ran that 40 time

He's now up to around 280lb's

So it's not a big deal IMO if he's lost some speed in the 8 years he's been in the NFL since running at the combine.
