I am about to embark on creating a historic roster and I wanted input as to which one people would prefer. I am looking at either the 1989 season or the 1999 season.

I have done both in earlier versions of Madden so I have a great deal of the work already finished. I simply need to begin putting the rosters into the game.

As you all know, the process is long and time consuming, so please do not expect either roster to be ready too quickly. However, I will work as quickly as I can.

1999 roster would be awesome! I would definitely play that roster.

I did a 1989 season for 2K5. Bo Jackson is a beast! 89 gets my vote...

Ok, I decided to go with 1989. Depending on the length of time, I might do the 1999 season afterwards, but we will just have to see.

I have 3 teams completed right now, Browns, Bengals and Bill.

On thing that takes me some extra time is that I always test each team. Not always full games, but I at least make sure that I see every team on the field.

I just finished a Bengals(CPU) vs. Bills(ME) game. I was VERY happy with the results!

Rush: Ben. 84 Bills 106
Pass: Ben.337 Bills 271
Sacks: Ben. 1 Bills 4

Jim Kelly 17-26-65% 276yrds 2TD 0INT
Boomer Esiason 5-5-100% 105yrds 0TD 0INT
Erik Wilhelm 23-34-67% 248yrds 1TD 0INT

Thurman Thomas 25-81-3.2avg
James Brooks 15-66-4.4avg

Esiason completed 1 long pass and then was injured in early on. Wilhelm came in and started poorly but improved throughout the game. This game felt very good and organic. In 1989 when these 2 teams really played, the game was 24-7 Bills I believe and was a bit more of a ground war.

I am creating the rosters to prevent the sack issues. So you will notice once everything is finished that the Olineman look overpowered, but it just makes them able to pass block.

As I am playing the test games I will also be working on a slider set for this roster. I think I am very close to that now, but we will see as I complete more teams.

Once completed I will also post a list of coaches, playbooks and play calling percentages.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments and I will keep you updated as to the progress of the roster.

Soo happy to hear you are working on an '89 season roster, just got Madden 15 today and can't wait to play it! Anything 80's is killer in the NFL. Thanks man

Still working on the rosters. I have completed the Bears and the Raiders now. Played a game between the two and it was great! Bo Jackson was awesome.

Teams currently finished:
Bears, Browns, Bill, Bengals, Raiders

I am nearly done with the 49ers' offense. I might get the 49ers completed tonight still.

Question: Bo Jackson, neck roll or no neck roll? Sometimes he wore one and sometimes he did not. Thoughts?
