This year, FBG Ratings will be offering, for the first time ever, official re-rated rosters available for download on www.FBGRatings.com/members. Thanks to the dedicated roster editing community, this will be possible for the first time in FBG Ratings' history.

OS member, and reputable roster editor, SECElit3 will be handling the roster production for the XBox One platform this year. This means that I will be accepting applications for dedicated PS4 users to edit rosters for the PS4. This position will require the signing of an NDA and an eye for detail. Should you be interested, please send a PM to DCEBB2001 admitting your interest. A brief phone interview will follow. Serious inquiries only.

Is there anyway that we can organize the rosters so that the rosters are ready by the start of the season? There are 3 weeks between the EA Access release and opening night and I'm thinking if a few of us get together, we could complete the roster in 2 weeks or so.

I'll be off work from August 21 to September 2nd so I'm willing to take 1 or 2 divisions if necessary.

With Dan's go-ahead, I have been given the lead on putting together a FBG ratings team for the PS4.

This is going to be a very big undertaking, and it will take a lot of coordinating of schedules, as well as an emphasis on accurate data entry as far as the ratings go. I have some preliminary ideas on how to move the process as quickly as possible, but it will require at least 5-8 people, myself included.

If anybody is interested in joining the PS4 team, please PM me for details.

I am very pleased to have SECElit3 and Itbeme23 heading up the roster production this year for the website. Without their dedication, this would not be possible. What they need now are people to help carry the load. Assigning a person to a division or list of teams sounds like a great idea, and I trust that both team leads will ensure the accuracy of the rosters. If you are interested in helping out, please PM them.

i see the players are rated but i notice that official fbg ratings dont come out until madden ratings and thru the season only a few attributes are only rerated shouldnt all the attributes be up if you already have an official fbg ratings or you waiting on madden for their ratings i cant understand why the ratings arent year long you cant update in the offseason

Wow, that was one heck of a run-on sentence. Let me attempt to break it down one by one based on what I think are questions.

1. There are way more than "only a few attributes" that are re-rated during the season. If a player jumps up 10 OVR points, he will have a LOT of attributes changing. Some weeks have as many as 400 players being updated. Some weeks have only 40. It just depends on when the scouts change anything...something that I have no control over.

2. I don't wait for EA to do anything or for the game to drop. I get my largest data-dump of the year every June. This year, I didn't get it until July. It takes over a month to update all of the new player data. I literally got the data on July 5th and just finished getting it all sorted out 2 days ago. This isn't my full-time job, so it takes longer than what it would if I was getting paid to run the site. Since it doesn't pay the bills, I have to get to it in my free time. Add in the fact that I have to juggle my other hobbies, and you can see why it takes a while.

3. I try to update the ratings every week during the year and once a month in the offseason. Lots of changes take place during the season, while less take place on a weekly basis from Feb-July. It takes me an entire evening (usually on my Friday nights) to update the site during the season, even with automation.

4. When we get new rookies that come in every April (about 2500 of them every offseason), it throws some of the distributions off. So, I have to clear out the attributes and completely re-rate everyone. Did you see what Byron Jones did this year? He literally pushed the broad jump numbers 7 inches further than what they were during the previous 20+ years. He has to be included in the data, so the data-set has to be reset according to new information. That takes a lot of analysis, and thus, a lot of time.

5. I use the offseason to do various "clean up" projects. This year, I am adding in new player profile pictures. I also had an OS member design new logos for the team pages. All of these little projects also add up. They take time. I have to balance this massive database with my real life, too.


Hope that sums up why there aren't any ratings on the site right now.

I can knock out a few divisions as well. I could knock 2 out in 2 days easy! Let me know...

I'm confused. I thought Dan said on Saturday that he would have the ratings on the site "in the next few days or so." Are you going to wait until preseason is over to start the roster file?

If so, I wont be able to help because I wont have that much free time after the 2nd. I may just do my own file using Dan's preseason rankings so that some of us will be guaranteed to have a FBG roster file at the start of the season.

They will be up on the site, but the official FBG ratings roster will not be started until 9/8/2015. I will basically be taking a "freeze frame shot" of the ratings that day and distributing them to the team members to create accurate week 1 rosters. It will take less time to properly rate 53 man rosters instead of properly rating 70 players per team, when most will likely not make the 300 man FA pool anyway.

It comes down to wasting as little time as possible. These official roster makers will be the only ones with that frozen point in time. The rest of the time the site will be live, so you run the risk of not getting the most accurate ratings in your roster going your own route. Just letting you know.
