I'm new to Madden since 2012 so I'm not familiar with the layout yet. I know how to download rosters but how and when do you incorporate them into your offline franchise?

Also, is the new EA roster released today (September 9) on the community board or do you download it through the roster download option when you first load the game?

Load the roster file, start your franchise and select "Use Active Roster".
