Madden 17 PS4 community updates?

I've not been playing Madden for about 4 years. Is it likely that someone is going to update rosters for Madden 17 for the upcoming 2017-2018 season? I'm not into any of the changes for M18 so a really cheap M17 makes more sense for me for the way I play straight seasons.

...come to think of it, is it still even possible to play franchise just for very simple season play, ignoring completely all franchise elements?

Ok, well, can someone at least explain to me before I buy it, if you need a PSN subscription to be able to download rosters or if it's accessible for free like in The Show?

You need to have a PSN online account to download. I was getting ready to ask the same question about the PS4. I see that the XBOX1 boys getting their done. I am hoping we can get the same treatment.

i will update madden 17 after 18 comes out i have ps4 i am funtimes72 the roster is called NFL2018FA

all i need to do is add the rookies but i have to wait utill the 25th i look at the madden 18 FA list so i do not overwrite any guys on madden 18


the only bad news is 300+ rookies will plob take 3 moh to make

Thanks for the reply. Is there some reason that there seem to be more rosters on PS4? I've clearly missed something by being away for so many years.

not sure my 02 is people were upset with x-box1 for not allowing resales of games but i think they fix that

Oops you know what? I made a typo. I MEANT to ask, why does it seem there are more rosters for XBOX, not PS4.
So, if I get the PS4 M17 and don't have Playstation Plus, I won't be able to download community rosters. Well, that sucks. In that case, I'll just probably keep playing the PS3 version.
I'm surprised you said there isn't really anyone doing M17 2017-18 rosters. When you say yours won't be done for several months, do you not have any rosters that just have all the teams correct today or are they really missing too many rookies to be worth using?
