I spent hours and days going through every teams official website to get numbers and rosters as close to possible including available practice squad guys.

For my rookies, I used ESPN Insiders Scouts inc for pro days, combine numbers, and their scouting card to build guys on what their strengths and weaknesses are.

Dude, I hear you. I wasn't going to do a roster this year.

But, that's what I've done in the past. In all seriousness, my like ratio last year was 92% and was the 2nd or 3rd most downloaded roster.

It has to be accurate to get those types of ratings.

I do the same thing. Go through every team's site often to check numbers.

I'm getting too old though, which is why I didn't do one this year.... And just used AZ's and then tried to make the best of things. I was going to do that the last two year's with Tom's but it always has just too many mistakes.

(and yes, it definitely takes hours, days and even months to get a good accurate roster... Especially with all the picks)

Don't necessarily disagree. I've read that about Barkley but also read from some he's actually overrated. Believe Nelson is a better overall prospect than him, just based on all I've seen.

But again, when you're goal is to have all the picks, you're likely going to sacrifice some accuracy and perfection.

Yep, you were right, faded... I found myself lowering some OVR ratings some as I added the 1st round. Reminded me I usually did that in the past.

Other than QB's, my top five positional players rank between 80-83.

Five through ten rank between 77-78.

Eleven through fifteen rank between 76-77.

Sixteen through 31 (since Lamar Jackson was taken 32nd) rank between 75-76.

Which is pretty close to my chart, but just a few less 77-79's.

The rest of the chart will likely be accurate.

Anyway, the first round is up. And again, the OVR's are adjusted some as I add them to their respective teams more than likely.

You know, after looking at some past Madden rookie ratings, I'm not so sure my initial ratings were off that much.

Since I'm a Cowboys fan I decided to look back at what Zack Martin was rated.

Check out the top 13 rookie ratings from that year...

Those were Non-QB players in the top 10.

So, I agree with you on the 82-83's being for elite, rare prospects.... but, the 78-80's are a little more common than you might think.

I think my chart was pretty good lol. After adding guys last night, I'd dropped Moore and Ridley to 76 based on going lower in the 1st round. I've since upped them both back to 77.
