No doubt. The only reason I ever wanted to do 32 team control was to fix depth chart stuff. I never wanted to micromanage other stuff. Also when you control all you lose trade ability. Now teams can still do their own thing (good and dumb things). We all know Madden's logic can be real stupid at times (IE back to back 1st rd QBs in consecutive years) but then again NFL GM's can be stupid as hell too. So this little tweak is a perfect fix for me.

I hate stupid AI draft logic. Is there a way to take control of all teams prior to draft and then give up control after draft? I wouldn't even do all of the draft, but at least first half of first round and then sim rest except for my Colts team. I kind of like looking at teams determining what their needs are and then drafting accordingly. it also allows me to explore the draft classes even more and get involved with the storylines and Player Development.

I saw some dumb stuff in my draft last night. The team that had the first overall pick needed a quarterback desperately and they chose a player that I had a slated to go towards the mid-to-late first-round and he was not a quarterback.

Yes you can. But it's labor intensive. You have to create a new character for each team. The process is like this.

1. Go to create new character.
2. Select team.
3. Select to use current coach.
4. Start

Now it seems simple. But u have to do this 31 times. And then you have to reverse the process after and retire each coach (they don't actually retire). It really just depends on how much time you want to spend.

Personally when I've done it in the past it gave me to much control and my OCD kicked in and it became a chore because I spent more time tweaking then playing lol.

But I hear you on the drafting. I can't remember what Madden it was (back on the Xbox 360) when the players had badges. There was a QB of the future one. So if a team drafted a QB in the first round he got that badge and the team wouldn't draft another QB high for at least 3 years it something like that.

30 team control if that’s what you want . But then you won’t have teams drafting Jamarcus Russell. I think if you loosen your parameters for other teams. You could easily say they view the next draft class of quarterbacks as better. Or they have their eyes on a free agent this year. Or just like what they have. They could even trade for someone post draft or they thought their qb would be there in the second. Like Derek Carr. The jags drafted their qb of the future ahead of the saints and New England. Who had drew Brees and Peyton retire in mine. And that’s an insane plot twist to me and I love it. And if I was doing 30 team control I might of saved that qb for them. Instead they are going to be rebuilding.

Welcome to the Miami Dolphins 2019 Season Breakdown

To get this out of the way first the LA Rams repeated as Super Bowl defeating the LA Chargers 28-20

This was a disappointing year for the Miami Dolphins as they completed the their second straight 2-14 season. Shades of Hue Jackson is truly the vision we see here.

The Rest of this will go into a spoiler tag because it will have information about players from both DC1 and DC2 but no overalls will be spoiled. Hope you enjoy. BEWARE OF SPOILERS

First of all I'm going to just straight up copy and paste the breakdown of my draft class last season that i sent to CWSapp so that you can get me original feelings from that draft class. That was as follows:

I ended selecting Shawn Nixon 2nd OVR because i really like both Cobbs and Martinez later in the draft. Honestly his physical profile sold me i felt like John Elway looking at a tall QB.

Then at 34 I took Mason Cobbs and the reason i couldn't say that in the post is he came out disappointing. Super strong arm and GREAT short accuracy but very poor medium and deep accuracy. That led to me to taking another QB in the next round.
For my second 2nd round pick i chose Anthony Vincent who is a fast as **** CB with 80 MCV and 87 ZCV out of the block. Really has all the tools to be a Shutdown CB in a few seasons.

Next round i had back to back picks to start the round so i selected HB Cameron Rodgers who was the #1 overall RB and somehow last until the third. Next I took Armen Martinez. He's almost the opposite of Cobbs. Okay short and medium accuracy but pretty bad deep accuracy. Coming with that those are his physical gifts that i enjoy having as a back up when no one can get open. Can't wait to have him and Cobbs battle it out for the starting position.

So far at this point i wasn't feeling all that great about my draft but late day 2 to day 3 was a big hit.

I had one more pick in the 3rd and i went with LG Franklin Kehoe and he was my first great steal. He's strong with good foundation for both Run Blocking and Pass blocking and that's all i can really ask for when drafting late.

My next pick in the 4th was Alabama's Cody Beatty(69) who i had scoped out since the moment i read his report. His OVR won't jump but i LOVE me a coverage LB. His 80 ZCV and 80 MCV had me real pumped.
My next 4th Rd pick was WR Jahee Chavious another guy I'm pumped for. It's important to have a good route runner who can get separation when I've got a rookie starting and he is definitely that. Good speed to go with 90 short route and 84 medium route running he's already number 2 on my depth chart.


My only 5th round pick was RT Chris Allison whose only real weakness is movement. He's strong in Strength, Pass and Run Blocking. Once I get his lead blocking up he could potential move to LT.

Now the 6th round holds what might be my favorite pick in the draft. Before him though i took LT Matthew Montano who is storng in run blocking and pass blocking but struggles with strength. Luckily he's good on the move so he could potentially move to the right side.
Now my second to last pick and maybe favorite pick in the draft is ROLB JJ Marable with Superstar development. This man is such a beast in Run defense and above average in coverage that he's my new MLB. His only lackluster features are speed and play recognition but at least one of those can be worked on and he's so strong that i can look past it. Very excited for him.

Now finally my last pick was WR Zack Mcgeary in the 7th. 6'2'' 223 only 21 years old. Above average speed, Route running release. He's also just below elite when it comes to jump balls. Only real concern with him is his catching. Gonna have to work on that.

Now with the draft complete i was able to snatch up UDFA Tyler Dalton who has a 90 speed and both 79 MCV and ZCV. He projects to be an elite slot corner in my system who just needs to work on his Play Recognition.

Overall I think i did a good job on this class. I can't decide if i should've just taken Maddox 2nd or if i should have faith in either Cobbs or Martinez but i do know Nixon needs to make a huge impact to warrant me reaching on him there. This whole thing was super fun and you guys are doing a great thing. I can't wait to see the next class you guys drop thank you

So that was how I felt immediately after the draft. A lot has changed since then. To start off It sure seems like my first 4 picks are going to be pretty much busts. Nixon struggled to stay healthy in the preseason and eventually missed significant time and was never able to earn his spot back. He will definitely see playing time in his second year with Cameron Wake leaving the team and Harris moving back to LE.

After drafting Mason Cobbs and Armen Martinez they both busted pretty bad. Armen originally won the starting job during the preseason but then went down week 2 after an absolute atrocious week 1. Cobbs played most of week 2 before going down early in week 3 and only looking slightly better than Martinez. About Week 6 Martinez returned and things did not look better. It became clear that he just didn't have the arm to compete in the NFL. Felt like i was playing with a Right handed Kellen Moore who could run sometimes. Eventually Cobbs returned and was given the starting job. While he didn't blow anyone away I do think he earned the back up job for me behind whatever QB I draft in the first round. He definitely had a few very good games but overall isn't someone I can build around.

Anthony Vincent took until about half way through the season to get some playing time when i shook up my under performing secondary. Sadly he might've been my best corner for the year but that says less about him and more about everyone else. I think out of my first 4 picks he has the best chance to succeed.

So now that we've talked about how **** I am at drafting lets look at some of the good ones. All 3 of Chavious, Kehoe and Marable were immediate standouts and good players. Unfortunately Marable suffered a partially torn PCL in week 11 to keep him out near the end of the season but both Chavious and Kehoe were starters for all 16 weeks. Allison suffered a few injuries but also was able to start a RT whenever he was healthy. Even 7th round McGeary stepped out in the slot when Albert Wilson went down. I got a lot of nice contributions from my later picks if only I hadn't whiffed so hard earlier in the draft. Rodgers; the #1 RB who i got in the 3rd, had a very good year as my back up RB and will take the starting role in his 2nd year. Great at catching the ball out of the backfield and returned one kick off for a touchdown on the year.

Didn't know where else to plug this but i also trade for guys like Grady Jarrett and Xavier Woods to help the team out mid season and they both came in and played well.


Another update for a player is Maddox who sat the entire season behind Dak but will be the starter going forward after The Cowboys let Dallas walk in FA.

So now we head to free agency and not only is my team thin it's bad. Just bad. Fortunately I have about 84m to work with.

First thing I did was offer a huge 7/100M+ contract to Joey Bosa. He didn't accept it. Went with a 6 year offer from another team. I wanna say Buffalo? So **** you Buffalo you ****s.

I got over it quick though. I was able to sign Myles Jack; who i absolutely love in real life he was my #1 LB when he was in the draft, to a 6/97.9m contract that will pair him with Marable and give me dangerous LBs in my heavy Nickel scheme i run. I also signed Emmanuel Ogbah to a 4/23.7m contract which signals the end of Nixons attempt at a starting spot. Unfortunately I John Elway'd this one guys. Never drafting a 6'8" guy again....until i do.

Those were my big signings and for the rest i looked at back ups and short veteran contracts. I signed BJ Finney, SU'A Cravens, Staley and Dylan Cole to back up/potential starters for a few if the men in front of them struggle. I also brought in Emmanuel Sanders because i believe in giving my rookie QBs as much talent as possible to throw too. I'll probably send out Albert Wilson in a draft day trade if I can and plug Sanders in the slot.
My final signing was Matthew Ionannidis a 26yr old LE who i thought would be a really good DT with his size and strength. Luckily we get to find out.

Little side not about this Buffalo went all ****ing out in this FA. Signing Bosa to a 6/89.3m deal, Derrick Henry to a 5/38.6m deal and Dak Prescott to a 4/90.4m deal. I hate that last one because they have both Tyrod Taylor who they signed to a LT Deal last off season and Josh Allen who they drafted in the 1st round. Seems like this is something that should be fixed by now looking at you EA SPORTS

So going into the draft I had greatly improved my defense. The only true weakness being at CB but having depth and skill at almost every other position. Unfortunately the same couldn't be said about the offense. Outside of WR and RB things didn't look good. I was very thin at OL and my best linemen Josh Sitton surprisingly retired leaving me even thinner. Luckily I'm loaded about with potential picks. I've not only got the 1st overall in every round I'm also rocking 3 total 2nds and 2 5ths. Hopefully I don't blow them all this year.

So on paper this draft looks really good. I promised Sapp and Raiders I wouldn't give overalls at all like i did in my original breakdown to Sapp but man this draft looks much improved from my first one.

Dallas Stewart seemed like the safest pick at QB and that's what i needed. Does he have the highest floor of some of the other QBs? Maybe not. The guy has a huge arm and can make any throw on the field and be a leader. I expect to see that out of him right away. Jalen Letman is so good that he created a need for my team i didn't even know i had. HIM.

I went heavy at OL because mine is thin and terrible and I'd like my brand new QB not to be murdered and 3 of the 4 guys seem like instant starters on the line..

I definitely took some risk with guys from smaller schools like Wand and McKinley and i definitely don't regret my choices.

I had to draft Byron Reed he's from Maryland. I spent my early life about 10mi from that campus so being able to draft 2 UMD players got me feelings things. I don't know what to do with Byron but he's too good of an athlete to pass up. Maybe develop him into a shifty RB?

Ayo Rubin was a surprise. I liked him speed late and he might end up getting a good shot at starting if Chavious doesn't step up.

If either CWSapp or Raiders wanna PM me about the behind the scenes stuff with these players kind of like Sapp gave me in my first class that'd be super cool I really enjoyed it.

I'll give an update after preseason battles to who came out on top and how each pick looked after some playing time. I hope you guys enjoyed my breakdown and I hope to do a similar one for each of my season. If there's any ideas or criticisms of this let me know and I'll try and improve with each one.

I mean, the Browns also traded out of Carson Wentz and they needed a QB. It happens. It is odd seeing the Pats sign 40 year old Rivers while they have Tyrod and then try and trade Tyrod but I like to rationalize it as them wanting QB competition and Tyrod lost the starting job in TC. You can usually rationalize their decisions somehow or another.
