Are you painstakingly accurate like the 1985 roster guy? He does accurate pads, ratings, player types, and now heights and weights thanks to EA allowing us to fully edit rosters from the main menu. If it's just names and a bit of details for top guys, then it won't get any play from me.
For example, you have the 1992 Cowboys on the Franchise roster. I am a huge fan of that particular team. If I select that team and see that the heights and weights are wrong, or the numbers are wrong, or the players are only done for the starting lineups, or that the ratings don't reflect how well those players performed in 1992, I will immediately delete the roster. I end up deleting about 95% of the so-called legends rosters because people just aren't accurate. Some only change names and get almost everything else wrong.
You are wanting to create two full roster files. If you are going to do it like the 1985 guy, that's going to take a really long time! He's hammering out the 1985 roster by the end of October. And I know he's good because he's always been good.
I'm just skeptical of anyone who says they're doing this because the rosters usually end up being garbage sprinkled with a few gems. If you are planning on doing it, then do it right and you will get lots of praise.

It doesn’t matter, now. I said I wasn’t doing them.
But to answer your question, yes, my rosters are pretty accurate.
I’ve done this since the 1990s. I’ve had a magazine article (Computer Gaming World) and a newspaper article (Hartford Courant) written about them in the 90’s, for the games Super Bowl Sunday, Front Page Sports Football, NFL Pro League Football and MicroLeague Football (all computer games.) I was approached by Sierra Dynamix, the company that made Front Page Sports Football Pro, to create their rosters for their 1998 version of the game, but I was too busy to assist.
I used to work at ESPN, and would go to their sports library of books, to get the most accurate information I could from some of their books.
For Madden, I would create one of the two season files, back it up, then work on the second season file off of the first, since a lot of the teams would appear on both seasons.
May I also note it’s not appreciated to make a critical statement about me, before knowing any more information.
I’m at work now. But if you want, I can post pictures of the articles later today, along with the email from Sierra Dynamix.
