Few notes:

Had to make Jim Otto number 60 since 00 not available in game.

Also, Atkinson did not show up as a choice for Kick returns even though he was primary return guy. He DID show up for Punt returns and I have him as number 1 for punts...but could not select him for kickoffs...weird. And yes, he is rated in 80's for kick/punt returns.

Blanda is listed as kicker and also 2nd string QB. Stabler is 3rd string.

I agree! Keep plugging away.. I know it's tedious as heck but it's an awesome project that I would like to use. I know all those old guys and would love to have a 1970 franchise!!

Have 2 more teams to do...Steelers and Oilers (Titans).

I did not plan to edit the other teams that did not exist back in 1970 like the Jags, Texans, Seahawks, Ravens, Panthers, Bucs. That's a lot of teams to be missing to try to play through a franchise.

I did these basically for Play Now fun since impossible to replicate the old NFL with today's Madden. I do use a playbook I created that eliminates most of the shotgun formations and relies more heavily on the run...but as you know, Madden CPU has a mind of its own even when using this playbook in cpu vs cpu mode.

It's awesome to see the old names back on the field again...and not just the superstars but guys like Harmon Wages, Dennis Shaw, Bill Nelsen, Duane Thomas, Macarthur Lane, Ron Johnson, Ed Podolak, Hewritt Dixon, Alvin Haymond, Ken Willard, Altie Taylor, Cannonball Butler, Bo Scott...and dozens of others. Guys I watched every week on TWIPF or on the game of the week.
