Re: Future Classic Rosters?

A guy on youtube’s Uploading just about every usfl game that was televised. Way down the road, it’d be cool to redo this league.

Was just wondering if there’s enough of the older uniforms that can somehow replicate what the real teams wore?

Like the Generals would probably need to be the falcons or chiefs. I think Jacksonville and houston’s Uni’s are a close match. Raiders or panthers could be la express.

Probably wouldn’t do invidual seasons. They didn’t have but 3. Maybe just use best players. Not sure how much the line-ups changed from season to season because I wasn’t very old when this was on, born in 1980.

I do remember my dad watching it and complaining abut how bad it was. But the vids i watched on youtube, it seemed to be a pretty good product.

When i watch the games, it’s almost like it’s a new game because i don’t know much about the league other than some reading and the espn documentary. Pretty cool something that old can feel kind of fresh.

If EA would let us import/export to new versions, we could have insanely good and complete rosters complete and ready to go without this pain of creating editing these every year. The Show had this nailed down years ago, and here we are still talking about 'true step' and bs like 'no more walking to the line'.
Good to see you my friend! Glad you are back in the fold. Hope you can join up with the other great guys here on this classic "mod" work too.

Been battling an RA diagnosis and also had a 9mm kidney stone removed a few weeks ago. Don't wish that on anyone! Ugh. Otherwise I am hanging in there. Have not had a chance to play the Show much but love that game too.

How bad did I miss on the equipment stuff for the 1970 roster?

Kidney stones are no joke. Ten years ago a rattlesnake bit me, and i had to drive myself to the hospital because i read water meters, was by myself. Didn’t know i was bit at first. Thought i’d Bumped my hand on a prickly bush in a yard. My hand was swoll4 times it’s normal size when i got the nearest hospital an hour away. Doctors said the only reason i made it was because i was so calm. But they had to give me 6 full doses of the anti venom. I think that’s what caused, among other problems.

Before the snake bite, I’d never had kidney stones, but now i get them 3-4 times a year. One year not long after the bite, i think i had them 6 times in a year. It’s no joke.

May sound silly, but when you start hurting, drink a Mountain Dew. This has always helped me out. A lady at work told me to do it, she said the stuff helps dissolve the stones. I laughed too until stones struck again and i bought one desparate for anything. It’s always seemed to give me a little relief. Could be mind over matter, I won’t deny that because when this stuff comes on, i’d Take any type of cure for relief.

I think most people think it’s the passing that hurts, but for me, it’s when your actually kidney starts hurtin. Man, it’s bad. Never been gutshot but kidney stones have got to be close to that feeling. Thinking about it’s got me squirming in my seat.

Hope you get better.

Re: Future Classic Rosters?

Thank you...yes...they are excruciating! Thanks for the Mountain Dew tip. I know lemon helps keep them at bay. I have been drinking a lot of lemonade lately but probably should switch to lemon water. Good thing you remained calm after that bite...that's crazy!

It's when the stones start moving that you feel the pain in the kidney. I thought I had eaten something bad and had stomach issues but it persisted for 2 days. Had to go to emergency room and they took it out the next morning. Too big to pass and I only have 1 kidney so they did not want to let it move around in there for too long.

LOL..this is what you see when you read classic roster mod posts...old guys wth old guy problems! LOL...

Thankfully I’ve never had one big enough that wouldn’t pass and have the laser removal. This roster stuff is a good distraction from getting old.
