too bad the NFL wanted nothing to do with him. he was even second runner up to the Heisman. I have some player ratings for him on Madden but I don't know how accurate they are, I think 77 Over might be a bit high lol

I’ll try to fire up ncaa 14 and compare mine and playmakers creations of Frazier and pass them on to you. He had an all time roster on there and I had one that was for 1980 to 2015 i think.

Funny...they would today with the advent of RPO offenses. Just played in the wrong era for his skill set.

As you can see this list is quite extensive and it took me an entire week of research and editing to complete.

The QB position in Madden is the hardest to rate but I think the key is trying to create separation amongst the elite QBs compared to the average starters and backups.

These ratings fall in line with the rest of the league only HOF are in the 90's and then as you can see there is a tremendous drop off in the overall ratings amongst those guys, average starters and then the backups and free agents.

My goal was to create such a separation in the QBs that it would be very hard to win games relying heavily on a backup or free agent QB.

The difficult task for me was trying to make sure I stayed away from rating these guys like I did with the NCAA 14 Alumni rosters.

Most if not all of those guys were great in college but in the NFL 90% of them flamed out or didn't even play.

Having said all that I'm excited to get guys like Ward, Harris and Frazier finally on a Madden roster file.....

In fact this might be the only file out there that has these guys available for play.

I know some people might question why is Ward rated higher than Frazier and Harris.....

Well through my extensive research Tommie (my favorite college QB of all time) really struggled with his medical condition and by the time he worked out at the nfl combine he went from running a 4.5 to a 4.7 so he had lost some of his explosiveness and that scared teams off.

He went undrafted...

Harris ended up being a 12th round pick of the Raides in 1990 but failed to make the team. He struggled with accuracy and played several years in lower level leagues.

As for Ward he was projected to go between the 3rd and 6th round but he opted for the NBA. Ward differs from Frazier and Harris because while at FSU he actually played in a spread offense and had more experience and better accuracy than each of them. Ward hit on 69% of his passes doing his Heisman year and Doug Williams recently stated that Ward was more of a modern day Kyler Murray.

Now for those who some might have forgotten about you have guys like Mirer, Leaf, McNown, Marinovich, McGwire and Shuler who were all high 1st round picks that are labeled bust.

Both McNown and Marinovich are left handers took me forever to scan the rosters to find lefties to create them. McGwire is the tallest QB on the file at 6'8 for those who may not be familiar he's the younger brother of MLB star Mark McGwire.

Always wondered what happend to Klingler well apparently dude seperated his throwing shoulder multiple times and by his 3rd or 4th year in the league he went from being able to throw a ball 85 yards down to just 35 yards so his arm was shot after a few years.

Rich Gannon is an interesting guy. He was a journeyman up until when he joined the Raiders late in his career 1999. Then he just erupted into a 4 time Pro Bowler and led them to the Super Bowl. He was assigned Xfactor Superstar because of those accomplishments.

BTW Gannon might be the most shocking QB on this on File in terms of speed. Dude clocked a 4.52 at his combine workout and tested great on agility.

Two sleeper guys on this file will be Jeff Garcia and Doug Flutie. Remember they both hit the scene in the late 90s after spending extended time in the CFL and it didn't take them long to start winning in the NFL. They are both pretty mobile with high Motor Trait and really good awareness despite their mid 70's overall rating. Arm strength is what keeps them from being higher on the chart.

How about Gino Toretta, Tony Rice and Danny Wuerffel!!!!

Man those names really make you miss college ball in the 90's.....he'll I guess I should say it makes me football period in 90's imo the best era ever for the game.

Last but not least there is one special guy who I added despite him never stepping foot on a NFL field. That is Brook Berringer the former Nebraska QB who backed up Frazier but was still a crucial part that team. He died tragically in plane crash right before the NFL draft.

Berringer is on the file much like I did for Brandon Burlsworth who is on the 99 Colts.

NEXT UP FREE AGENT RBS

Looking forward to creating Tyrone Wheatley, R.Salaam, C.Ennis and L.Phillips to name a few

Lots of Great College players from the 90's that didn't quite pan out in the NFL several of them due to injuries and you'll see those same guys with a very low injury rating on the file. Phillips still has the potential to be great in Madden if human controlled but he'll be very inconsistent if AI controlled which is what i was shooting for with him. He could take it 80 yards on one play and then go the next 5 carries without gaining a yard.

Marcus DuPree may not be very familiar to a lot of Madden players. He roamed in the USFL for a number of years before blowing out his knee. Made a short comeback with the Rams in 90 still had great speed but his knees continued to fail him.

Chris Warren IMO was the most underrated RB of the 90's. After Barry, Emmitt and Thurman doing that span between 90 to 94 Warren arguably was the 4th best RB in the League with Seattle.

Dickerson is rated on his last few Pro Bowl years with the Colts before he fell off early in the 90's but he gets HOF respect making him the only 90+ rated free agent RB. One of my Favorites is Terry Allen on the file. He had some big years in Washington after overcoming some injury riddled years in Minnesota that's why he's just at the cusp of that elusive 80 rating usually reserved for Pro Bowl type players on this file.

Last but not least I added the Following the QB's to the FA list since I didn't get them the 1st time around.

Beau Morgan from Air Force bounced around with the Cowboys a few years between 97-99 i believe he will be rated 47 overall worked out at RB doing the combine.
Corby Jones from Missouri also worked out at RB doing the Combine was projected to be a 6th or 7th round pick but went undrafted and ended up in the CFL with Montreal. He'll be rated 52 overall
Jim Dunkenmiller from Virginia Tech big strong kid at 6'5 240 was actually drafted by the 49ers in the 1st round of 97. He'll be a 55 overall only completed about 40% of his throws (21/52) doing his career.

Here's my CAP for Drunkenmiller i think i nailed him perfect

Pocket Passer (data taken from FBG & Draft Scout)
Speed-62
Strength-74
Agility-58
Accelerate-68

Throw Power-90
Throw Acc Short-76
Throw Acc Med-64since
Throw Acc Deep-70
Throw Under Pressure-70

NEXT UPDATE WILL BE FB'S & TE'S

Re: Playmakers Classic 90s Roster for Xbox One

Thanks buddy......I'm more hyped about creating the FA's than i was the actual team rosters LOL!

So many great college players from the 90's that I've been just going back and looking over my NCAA 14 Alumni rosters to help me remember who to add to the Madden 20 FA list.

Also someone from XBOX messenger requested a full game box score of these rosters in action to see what type of stats I'm getting. I don't do the youtube or twitch thing but I told them I'd share my last game results on OS if they want to check out how the rosters play out stats wise.

This is CPU vs CPU gameplay.

MY settings are ON Pro Level both Human & CPU sliders are the same......

12 Min QTR (15 Second Run Off)
25-Threshold
25-Injury
65-Fatigue

QBA-50
Pass Block-45
WR Catch-45
Fumble-65
Run Blk-90

Pass Reaction-5
INT-45
Coverage-45
Tackling-65

FG Power-65
FGA-35
PNT Power-35
PNT Acc-65
KO Power-51

Penalties Everything ON
Offside-99
Holding-70
Face Mask-50
Def PI-99
Block IN the Back-55
Rough The Passer-50

Last Matchup was a good game featuring Elite QB's Manning vs Warner and they didn't disappoint. Warner stretched the Field with a couple of deep shots including a beautiful 52 yard strike to Rookie WR Torey Holt who just blew by Tyrone Poole in Man coverage. Manning was quite the opposite; he had lots of checkdown throws with a few mid range targets. Edge was a beast in this game for the Colts he had 167 Total Yards from scrimmage on 30 touches out performing Faulk who missed most of the 1st half with an injury.

1999 LA Rams-30 At 1999 Indy Colts-27 (OT)

Scoring
3:57........1st QTR Vanderjadt 52 Yd FG (3-0 INDY)

11:56.......2nd QTR Warner Pass to Bruce 25 Yard TD (7-3 LA)
3:09.........2nd QTR Wilkins 31 Yd FG (10-3 LA)

8:02.........3rd QTR Manning Pass to Pathon 7 Yard TD (10-10)

12:00........4th QTR Warner Pass to Holt 52 Yard TD (17-10 LA)
9:02..........4th QTR Warner Pass to Faulk 4 yard TD (24-10 LA)
5:34..........4th QTR James 7 Yard TD Run (24-17 LA)
2:03..........4th QTR Manning Pass to E.G. Green 22 Yard TD (24-24)

2:28...........Overtime Warner Pass to Proehl for 2 Yard TD (30-24 LA)

Key note Wilkins missed a 52 yard FG for the Rams with 1:13 remaining in the 4th QTR and in OT on the opening drive the Colts Vanderjagt missed his 3rd FG of the game from 51 yards out. Following that missed Fg Torey Holt set up the Rams winning score with a 32 yard gain.

68-Marc Edwards-Notre Dame-Age 23
65-Brock Olivo-Missouri-Age 26

Key Notes on FB

Terry Kirby is actually locked into the Pats rosters on IR. He never played for the Pats so he'll need to be released to the FA pool if you get into franchise mode. The game doesn't allow it doing initial roster editing.

Tommy Vardell is one of my favorite players from the old Bill Walsh NCAA Football series, The Nickname "Touchdown Tommy" was given to him by former Stanford/Minnesota Coach Denny Green in College. Vardell was also the starting FB in 97-98 when Barry Sanders rushed for 2053 yards.

Tony Richardson is a guy who gets lost in time. He was undrafted out of Auburn in 94 and turned himself into a 3x Pro Bowl Player

Jarrod Bunch had his career cut short with the Giants due to a major knee injury. An interesting combination would be to get Bunch and pair him up with former Wolverine Tyrone Wheatley who ironically both played for the Giants. Bunch clocked a 4.50 coming out of college and had a incredible 29 bench reps

Another interesting guy is John L. Williams out of Florida he formed a terrific tandem in Seattle with Chris Warren in the early 90's. He's a do it all type of FB can catch, run and block.

Small School guy Travis Jervey from Citadel was a 5th round pick of the Packers. Impressed scouts with 4.3 40 yard dash. He finished 4th back in 96 doing the NFL fastest man competition. Jervey was the 1st Packers in franchise history to make the Pro Bowl as a Special teams Player. He will have the highest acceleration rating (92) of all FB's on the entire file.

Of the 20 FB's created you'll see some great balance amongst Blocking types like Floyd, Makovica, Scheslinger and Ritchie to versatile pass catching types like Anders and Williams.
