I grabbed a file from share, can’t remember the user, and I’ve re-rated all of the players. Haven’t don very much with the Free Agent pool outside of qbs.

You’ll notice the qbs are rated lower than what EA does. Highest rated qbs are Brady and Favre at 78 overall. I used Iteachpercussion’s qb awareness formula.

For completion percentage and throw under pressure, I added +10 to their actual completion percentage.

Not many 90+ overall guys on this file at all. I based the overall ratings on how the team ranked for pass/rush offense and defense and used Pro Football References AV scale. Guys that had an AV of 15+ are the 90 and up overall players.

For the last 3 teams I did, Rams, 49ers, and Cardinals—the depth chart did not work right. I fixed the starters as close as I could, but the special subs—3rd down back, power back, slot wr...etc. it will not let me move players around. It’s completely blank. The other teams are correct. Not sure what happened. Might have been the Pro Bowl patch that did it the other day. Was working fine before that.

As far as playbooks. That’s what I like most about this file. Don’t get me wrong I love playing with 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s rosters, but the playbooks and game engine doesn’t do those eras justice. Hard to recreate how those teams attacked. With these playbooks, using Live Playbooks, they really attack like the 2007 teams attacked. I use generic defensive books.

I used pro football reference and looked at the the run/pass ratios of the 2007 teams and compared them to the 2020 teams. Works really, really well. I have way better luck being connected to the internet as I play with the live playbooks. If I’m not connected to the internet, the teams tend to pass too much.

I watch cpu/cpu. These are the sliders I use. Been using them for the past month as I tested. Getting amazing results. Haven’t played one game in CFM as of yet. I want to finish some more Free Agents and also build a guide for giving abilities for the X-Factor and Superstar guys. There are no X-Factor or Superstar guys in the file. You’ll have to edit them in CFM.

Got the Dolphins at the Pats going now. Randy Moss already has 2 TD catches and there’s 6 minutes left in the first half. Welker just caught a TD pass. Pats lead 21-0. In 2007, Pats won both games, 48-27 and 28-7.

Looks like they may win this one by more than 21.

Boxscore and Highlights from the Miami at New England Tourney Game

Moment of the game.

Despite being dominated all game long, Miami kept it somewhat close and were at the Pats 5 yard line with about a minute left in the third, trailing 21-6. But Cleo Lemon threw a pick in the end zone to Adalius Thomas. On the ensuing play, Brady hit Randy Moss on an 80 yard bomb. The Pats continued to stretch the lead and won 38-13.

Highlights and Stats from Bills at Texans

Texans sacked Bills qb JP Losman 7 times and foreced him into 3 picks and 2 lost fumbles. Donta Robinson had all 3 picks and took them all back to the house as the Texans win 48-16. Stats were pretty even in this one. Losman just killed the Bills chances, much like he did back in the day.

Texans advance to play the top seeded Patriots.

Giants and Ravens are going now. Ravens lead 17-7. Second half just started and Eli Manning has the Giants driving. They just moved the ball into the red zone.

Highlights and stats from Giants vs Ravens

Ravens upset the Super Bowl champion Giants 24-17. Early in the fourth quarter, Eli had the Giants driving as they trailed 24-14, but he fumbled on a sack by Ray Lewis inside the red zone, and Terrell Suggs recovered. This play proved to be the difference in the game.

Ravens will play the winner of the Titans/Bengals game.

Got a 32 team tourney going with the 2007 teams. Just finished the first round. About to start round 2. For the first 2 rounds, highest team gets home field advantage. But for the third round and semi-finals I’m gonna use the international stadiums. Just to mix it up. For the championship, I’ll use the Super Bowl option in Play Now. For the third round I’ll watch 2 games in Mexico and 2 games at Wimbley Stadium. I’ll watch both semi-final games at Tottenham Hotspur.
