Auto Subs not working

Has anyone got auto subs to work? I’ve been testing for a couple of hours this morning and I don’t seem to see any subs other than the one-off play the AI puts a backup RB in. I currently have fatigue at 92 and auto subs set for every team (on average sub in 85 sub out 75) so I’m pretty sure high fatigue sliders don’t do anything for auto subs.

Has anyone figured this out this year? I know it’s usually broken, but I’ve gotten it to work in recent years

No. It never worked. EA ignored this issue for long time

The last time I can remember auto subs working and working well in a EA football game was years ago with NCAA Football.

if you go into coach setting and make sure that you edited them , you just have to manually choose your formantion not let coach pick or whatever the option is i am having ma brain fart at the moment

I think I figured it out—kind of.

With fatigue at 92, and auto subs set to 90/82, I’m seeing RBs get swapped in and out. If your RB is fatigued, and the backup isn’t coming in, just flick to another formation in the playbook to see your backup subbed in.

I think I figured it out—kind of.

With fatigue at 92, and auto subs set to 90/82, I’m seeing RBs get swapped in and out. If your RB is fatigued, and the backup isn’t coming in, just flick to another formation in the playbook to see your backup subbed in.

If you set it that high, the other positions that you don't swap out are gonna get hurt, especially Olineman.

I’ve set them for every position. Haven’t noticed crazy injuries yet. Lost 2 lineman in my first game but only for like a drive each. But I’ll keep an eye out for injuries

Is all of this testing in Play Now, or do they not work in Franchise Mode either? Haven't tried Franchise Mode yet, but have not had them working in Play Now despite seeing players at fatigue levels in the 70's when it tells you presnap and my settings being set to 95 Out 90 In for those positions. Even swapping formations is not leading to the players subbing out on my team either. Very disappointing so far.

This is franchise. I have them working, but not perfectly. But with fatigue at 90 and Sub in/sub out at 95-90, im seeing a few auto subs after my RB gets the balls 3-5 times in a row. The AI is also subbing a little bit—second string RBs get like 5-8 carries if you adjust AI teams auto subs. I know 90 fatigue is a little sketch, but I’m 2 games in and haven’t seen a crazy discrepancy with injuries (injuries at 25 which is default I believe)

Yeah I'm getting a good rotation with 87 out 92 in. Fatigue at 90. Haven't been seeing the noticeable visual fatigue effects like the heavy breathing. I don't feel my injuries are any higher either. I have that at 20 and do still see some injuries.

I am playing Play Now only for now until Franchise is patched up, so I guess it is completely broken there at the moment. With my fatigue set to 90 I think my last game, and my subs set to 95 and 90 I still never had anyone rotate out even when the game showed their fatigue dipping into the 70's. The formation changing trick didn't work one time in Play Now.

So strange the things EA cannot get right and allow to be broken constantly.

Just to note, I also have progressive fatigue on. I’m about to play my 3rd game, and will probably be able to knock a couple more out today. But I work a ton during the week, so my “testing” is very slow. But early in the season at least, things seem to be alright. I’m curious to see what happens in week 14-17

I don't think progressive fatigue being on or off should really matter. I'm seeing players fatigue properly, they just don't sub out no matter what, which has been the case for many Maddens now which should be embarrassing for EA at this point.

Just posting for those who end up here looking for an answer to auto subs….I finally had a day off yesterday and was able to play all day long and test my settings. And honestly, auto subs seem to be working just fine for me. I’m seeing 6-10 carries from AI teams backups every game. Also, 6 weeks into the season with progressive fatigue on, you definitely see more auto subs. I’m just simply not having the issues that most people are reporting on this. After playing around with the sliders, I seem to have them working (at least enough to make me happy)

Fatigue: 90
Player RB auto subs: 95/90 (or higher, like 98/95 for more subs…even 90/85 works for a few carries)
Injuries: 25

Random notes:

I’m seeing like 4-6 injuries per game. One of them missed a week. So don’t be scared to try high fatigue

Adjust auto subs for all positions and AI teams. You’ll notice auto subs are definitely working if you set auto subs for positions other than RB

I’m running 12 min quarters and 18 second runoff

Played the Falcons and all three of their RBs had over 5 carries (Robinson 14, Algier 6, Paterson 6) so I can confirm that 3rd stringers work too
