Re: TNK - Madden Next-Gen Sliders

Had one of those games today where it seems like you just aren't supposed to win. Played the Chiefs and lost 19 to 7. First half I kept stopping them but every time I'd get a drive going I'd turn the ball over.

I finally went up 7 to 3 after a bomb to Maclin. But then their offense started clicking and it went down hill. I threw 6 picks with Vick. Some I honestly have no clue how they made the play and some my fault. But I was actually glad I lost because my first two games were blow out wins for me.

Throwing to the right guy is so key to not throwing picks.....the CPU punishes you for bad decisions big time

and yeah - losing is fun sometimes, the loss I had last night to Tampa was the most enjoyable loss in my Madden lifetime

Re: TNK - Madden Next-Gen Sliders

Just tried these out with my steelers vs the pack and most phases of the game seem really good. Few issues I had were int's. To me it just seems like the AI db's attack the ball while my receivers just kinda run their route and do nothing but wait for the ball. Aaron Rodgers did not play like himself, just non stop dinkin n dunkin underneath, took 3 mid level shots and one deep shot down the field. I did have 5 sacks on him but all seemed to be coverage sacks where he just held the ball forever until my D ends got to him... The big issue to me is the AI wr drops! They had at least 3 drives stopped due to Cobb and Nelson dropping passes when they were wide open, very frustrating. If we would put the wr catch up past 50 would that help or hurt their catching? If this can be fixed, this game would be fantastic.

WR Catch Slider is screwed up - DON'T TOUCH IT

The INT thrown by the Human player is usually the result of a poor decision.....it's not a slider issue

The problems this game has are manageable....bot so sure they are fixable though without a patch by EA

TNK do you see an abundance of sacks when you play?

Re: TNK - Madden Next-Gen Sliders

I just lost to the Broncos as the Cowboys, 27-23.

Really solid game. Manning torched the Cowboys defense for 362 yards and 2 TD's. He did throw 3 INT's, but that was nothing compared to Romo's 6 for the afternoon. (my bad Romo ) Combined, the two had 747 yards passing on the day. Just short of the 920 yards they combined for when the two met IRL this season.

Both teams were able to find some success rushing the ball as well, but didn't seem to care. THROW THE FOOTBALL. That was clearly the slogan of the game.

Despite all of the turnovers, the Cowboys found themselves down 4 with just over a minute left on the clock. Dan Bailey had just knocked down a long FG, so the Cowboys had no other choice but to go for an onside kick. The ball bounced off of a couple Broncos players and found its way into B.W. Webb's hands for a Cowboys recovery! (I couldn't believe it! ) The suddenly rejuvenated Dallas crowd (by "Dallas crowd", I mean myself ) would soon have the air let out of it, as Romo (me...ME) put a fitting end to the game with yet another interception.

Man. I am just making poor decisions. The CPU really makes you pay for targeting the wrong receiver, I love it. It was nice to see Manning locked in and targeting WR's downfield. He had some really nice intermediate-to-deep passes during this game.

A couple of other game notes:

There was only 1 drop total for the game. There were a handful (3-4) of balls being jarred loose by hits, but those don't count as drops.

7 sacks for Dallas-5 sacks for Denver.

The Cowboys starting DT's went missing at the start of the 4th Quarter. I'm guessing this has to do with the Auto-Subs settings. Might want to check that out.

TNK - PATRIOTS FRANCHISE

WEEK 4 - New England Patriots (2-1) @ Atlanta Falcons (1-2)

The Following players will not play in todays game:
INJRUY REPORT
PosPlayerInjury Note
DTCorey Peters (ATL)Knee (1 Week)
RBSteven Jackson (ATL)Shoulder (2 Weeks)
LBThomas Howard (ATL)Shoulder (4 Weeks)
DEStansly Maponga (ATL)Partial PCL Tear (3 Weeks)

The Patriots got a gift as the Falcons came in to this game without the services of their workhorse RB Steven Jackson and then lost their star QB Matt Ryan to injury early in the game. Predictably their offense struggled to move the ball and the Patriots dominated the game as they cruised to an easy victory as they crush the Falcons 37-9 for a big road win.

* Falcons QB Matt Ryan was injured late in the 1st quarter when he was sacked by Rob Ninkovich and did not return. Ryan was replaced by rookie backup QB Sean Renfree who struggled. The Falcons are in serious trouble as they fall to 1-3 on the season and lose their star QB for 7 weeks with a dislocated hip.

* New England dominated the time of possession as they held the ball for 43:01 largely due to the Falcons offensive ineptitude without their star QB & RB.

* The Patriots rushed for 233 yards as a team and were led by Stevan Ridley who ran for 150 yards in his 2nd consecutive 100 yard game.

* Tom Brady was outstanding as he completed 29 of 33 passes for 256 yards and 2 TD without an interception as he picked the Falcons defense apart with surgical precision.

* There were plenty of penalties in this with maybe 2 blatant drops by the CPU receivers

* The Patriots improve to 3-1 on the season and will travel to Cincinnati next week for an early season AFC showdown with the Bengals who are undefeated on the season at 4-0.

* We have reached the 1/4 season mark after 4 weeks and I will post a big stats / standings / league leaders update to show how the sliders are producing stats wise.
