Smile Re: Charter04's Xbox1 Madden 25 All-Madden Sliders

Overview: This is week 1 of my connected franchise with the Jacksonville Jaguars. I really wanted to challenge myself this year and build a team from the bottom up.

Game Recap: I was able to hold down Kansas City's offense rather easily. I added some bigger named free agents to my defense (Kerry Rhodes/ Nnamdi Asomaugh) to help stay in games longer and hope to win some in the end. Unfortunately, I am still without a big time quarterback which could make this season painfully slow. I was able to keep it a close game but with two late fourth quarter interceptions I was unable to bring this one into overtime.

Slider Notes: For a first tweak these sliders play pretty spot on. The only tweak I made was I lowered both PLY and CPU's Interceptions to 12/10 respectively. Now, there was 6 INTs still in the game but I am not sure how much of it was me trying to make big plays that I really shouldn't be trying to make with Chad Henne. So please, if anyone else is seeing high INTs let me know. Other than that, the QB pressure was perfect. There isn't anymore break away runs almost every other play. Please see the box score below. Thanks again Charter04! I loved your sliders on my PS3 for Madden 25 so I am hoping the same on the PS4.

Played my first game with these. I lost to the chargers as the colts 38-31.
Everything played great except the CPU killed me running the ball.
Matthews ran for 435 yards! He averaged 15.5 ypc.

Re: Charter04's Xbox1 Madden 25 All-Madden Sliders

Played my first game with these and it played almost perfectly for me. I kept penalties at default for the time being; they DO have an impact on the gameplay, but I don't think it is as severe as in Old Gen games.

This first game was preseason week 1 as the Jets versus the lions. They beat me 21-18 as my comeback came up short in the 4th quarter. Things I liked:
  • CPU could both run and pass the ball effectively.
  • You have to play smart as a QB....checkdowns are your friend.
  • Pass rush felt balanced (very tricky to do in this game....). Blitzes can lead to sacks, but if picked up will burn you. I think the near-default settings are the best way to go.
  • Passing game felt fairly balanced.
Things to work on:
  • No penalties in this game...penalty sliders actually do seem to help this year...so careful application should help out. Yes, I know this is obvious
  • CPU run game was almost too good. I think raising the clipping slider will a) lead to some penalties and b) help with some of the powerful downfield blocking. That said, the biggest run plays I allowed is when I stacked the box and the CPU RB broke containment on the outside...very realistic.
One cool thing:
  • Geno Smith was sacked in the second quarter of the game and fumbled the ball (recovered by defense). The booth did a replay and overturned it as his arm was moving forward...thus it was ruled an incomplete pass. I have NEVER seen this call before.....very cool.

Will continue to report on my progress.

Re: Charter04's Madden 25 All-Madden Sliders

Thanks for the feed back guys. I'm out of town until Saturday night so I won't be able to make changes. I might go back up with the user tackling. I want bad tacklers to miss some and try and cause gang tackling but, I don't want to mess up pursuit angles. I will work on penalties too. If anyone wants to try penalties and let me know how it goes that would be cool

I want holding to be called most followed by false start, off sides, DPI( yea right), clipping, face mask, RTP, OPI, then the rest.

Re: Charter04's Madden 25 All-Madden Sliders

About 5-8 penalties per team, per game would be good.

I have four straight days off and no plans other than watching football and playing Madden. I am going to play around with the penalty sliders and see how things go.

Re: Charter04's Xbox1 Madden 25 All-Madden Sliders

I have learned a few things after my week 1 game as the Jets vs the Bucs in which I lost 48-12.

1. I really suck at keeping contain on the outside (I really need to let the AI handle the edge and not switch)...the Bucs racked up over 300 yards rushing (a third of it coming on a 95 TD run by Martin when he bounced a run outside and I whiffed on the edge).
2. Decision making is so critical in this version of the game. I mean seriously...don't throw to the edge against a cover two...you will be picked off...
3. The Offsides slider really impacts block-shedding. I jacked it up to 80 and really noticed a huge difference as I had 5 sacks on the day (granted Glennon has pretty low awareness).
4. The holding slider definitely works in Current Gen (not sure about old gen...but who cares....). I set it to 80 and had close to a dozen holding calls (several declined).

I would say too max all the penalties out except for the following,

Still working on them

false start: 55
holding: 63
clipping: 56
face mask: 56
RTP: 54
