It's hit and miss. Some games yes...some games no. But I love how the fatigue and auto subs play out that Aaron developed using 13 minute quarters. So it's a give and take.

In the end...it's about the stats. I don't really harp on how many plays are run as long as scores and stats look sim.

Re: Armor & Swords All-Pro Slow Simulation Style Sliders

Good game tonight Eagles (me) versus Rams. Eagles, as I always mention, are a team of all rookies and first-year players. This is season three of my CFM, the first year I play the games. After losing our first three, we have bounced back to win 3 of the next 4. Our strength of schedule is abysmal, though, as just about every team we have played has had a losing record, which could factor into this little streak we have going.

We came into the Rams matchup at 2-4, with them at 1-5. The Rams' QB was Alex Smith. Their starting HB was a nobody runner named Bilal Powell (76 OVR), and their top WR is Danario Alexander (74 OVR). So, I was fairly confident we could make a decent defensive showing. Of course, our offense is no great shakes either...

The teams traded FG in the first quarter. In the second, I managed to punch in a 1-yd TD after a long drive to take the 10-3 lead into halftime. They evened the score in the 3rd with one of those patented Madden drives where it seems like the AI is unstoppable. But in the 4th I ground out another long TD drive, and then had a clutch interception on the ensuing drive, leading to field goal to wrap it up at 20-10.

It was a tough game overall. I really like to dedicate to the run, but it was a chore sticking with it today, as my starting HB was limited to a 2.7 average. It wasn't until the 4th quarter when things loosened up. Coincidentally, my starter was knocked out with bruised ribs, and my backup came in and was able to find some space in the final quarter (3.7 avg).

I play a West Coast offense, and the Rams did a good job of mixing things up. I really had to spread it around; I felt like each set of downs was a challenge. A large percentage of my sets of downs went to 3rd. I ended up completing passes to 9 different receivers, but the middle of the field was TOUGH, with me throwing THREE INTs to linebackers, two to Ogletree who grabbed each off his shoestrings. I was so aggravated! (I was also irritated because I thought I had finally gotten a TD pass to at least help my QB out, but alas, the guy got brought down at the 1 inch line, and I had to let the HB punch it in.)

BTW slider note: Sliders are at A&S's front page settings. When I first started this game, Rams got the ball first and Zuerlein kicked a 62-yd FG into the wind. That got scrapped because the game didn't load my custom offensive playbook, so I started over. But look at the punting average for Hekker. Two kicks for an average of 66.5 yards?? Yikes.

Five sacks, but I don't have the roster edits. Plus, three of those came on their last two drives when they were throwing on every down, and Smith actually scrambled a few other times.

All in all, another fun game!!

Really like the game I'm getting with these tweaks so far. Tied at 6 between Eagles (me) and the 49ers in late 3rd.

My only issue so far is teams just don't seem to throw much. Only 9 passes so far for Kaep.

That's just a 49ers playbook deal, not a slider situation. The Niners like to pound the rock in this game and use the pass when needed or for playaction.

Just lost a very close game packers (me) vs Seahawks (CPU) 22-24

R. Wilson 23-31 278 2 tds
A. Rodgers 26-42 249 2 tds 1 int

M. Lunch 18-113 1 td
E. Lacy 17-77

Z. Miller 6-48
J. Nelson 8-85 1 td

Only had 2 sacks. Russell Wilson killed me with his arm and legs on their last drive. I love how the CPU uses his legs to get out of trouble.

Re: Armor & Swords All-Pro Slow Simulation Style Sliders

@All -

Justs finished watching an A&S Twitch broadcast with some new updates on his sliders utilizing his armorsedits file....And I have got to say.....EVERYONE is going to be super stoked with this!!!!!

I will leave it up to A&S for the 'reveal' later tonight (after his testing session!) ...

Seriously you all....the game he played out (Raiders-Fins) was a thing of beauty!

@A&S -

Great talking with you today on Twitch....and all I can say is...A&S = Legend!

Cheers my friend!

Depends on the team you're facing and that particular game. When testing sliders I play the same match over and over again. Raiders at Jets is the match up I've been using with me controlling Oakland. Some games Johnson and Ivory pound the rock while Smith only attempts roughly a dozen passes all game, then others Smith will throw 25+ times. A lot of this depends on the tempo of that game and what is working for the CPU at the moment. One thing Madden does well this year is CPU teams realizing they have something working exploiting it.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the adjustments. While not perfect just yet, I think they're getting there. At least for me anyway. All credit goes to A&S for the base set of course.
