Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

A few more tweaks to sliders tonight or tomorrow. Penalties aren't quite right (particularly for HUM), but I actually got called for an unnecessary roughness penalty for hitting out of bounds. I felt so good!
Penalties probably still need to come up some, QB% needs to be toned down more. That will come from a combination of lowering (believe it or not) QB Accuracy and lowering WR Catch. It looks like lowering the IG penalty had an effect (albeit small) on completion percentage as there were some throwaways when under pressure. Sacks still need to come down, but I'm getting closer.

Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

If you're on Xbox One, you should download klng of kings roster. He's made some tweaks to QB tendencies and sacks aren't much of a problem. I've been working on a coach mode set myself and have fixed the sack problem. My problem now is the QB isn't taking shots down field. The run game is a bit strong too with my set. Mine are Pro difficulty.

I'd rather fix the engine than fix the player.

Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

Too early to tell, but it seems all the tweaks I made to limit sacks and lower completion % did not work as well as I'd hoped. A few more games to see how it plays out, but this is not an encouraging sign. Running the football seemed to work ok in this game as I got close to what I expect.

Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

In the battle of backup quarterbacks (starters on both teams were injured), I saw a lot of promising signs. CPU comp% was only 44% (with 4 picks) and user was 59%. I know that's too low, but it is backup quarterbacks after all. The backup quarterbacks were throwing the ball down the field quite a bit (more than I'd seen) including a 68 yard strike from Chase Daniel at the end of the half. The passing game struggled but felt very good. We'll see what happens when star QBs get in the game.

Penalties (at least for CPU) are pretty good. I've had 13 CPU penalties in the last 2 games, which is right where I want them. Running game looks pretty solid at this point.

Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

son, don't think you're doing this on your own; I'm following your documentation very closely, thanks for taking the time to show your results and thoughts.

That dang QB% is causing me a lot of concern. With accuracy at 3, not much more to go that can make all as well.

I don't know how you create those cool summaries you're doing, but I last night I got a very realistic % from EJ Manual, and just summative. He start out 3-11, then kinda of got warmed up, but then down the stretch when he needed some completions, he was awful.

I think right now I am micro-analyzing too much, thinking all performances need to fall within the norm. Looking long term, I think things might level out, just like it would irl.

Keep up the good work.

Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

New issue with the latest updates to my sliders. Unexpectedly, completion % hasn't changed much (at least for the starters) but turnovers are way up & turnovers for TDs are insanely high. One more game and I'm going to make some more tweaks. I'm going to look to bring the defensive ratings down some (interceptions especially, but DBs seem to be breaking on the ball very quickly when in zones. More work to be done for sure, but feeling pretty good about where I am after 11 games.

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it a lot. Here's a link to the summaries page that will allow you to make the same summaries I do.

http://dynasties.operationsports.com...id=1&sport=nfl

If you could grab your next result and post in this thread, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I'm looking at dropping WR catch and pass coverage back to near where it was. I'll probably drop accuracy as well, but I've got to look at a bunch of different metrics to see where the tweaks really should come from.
