Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

Another blowout win for the user. More turnovers for the CPU in this game. Something I'm going to look out for going forward. If I can get that & sacks figured out I think I'm set.

Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

4 straight blowouts. Tweaks to come. User WILL have lower ratings than CPU. Time for some number crunching. Update 6.0 soon...

Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

Slider set 6.0 now up.

QB accuracy was toned down for the user as completion % was 68.4%. In tandem, pass coverage was tweaked up for the CPU. CPU had 60.4% completion %. ON target with my 61% goal.

Pass blocking was raised again to 90 for USER and 95 for CPU. USER defense had 4.5 sacks/game, while CPU had only 3.5 while both sliders were at 85. The goal here is about 2.5 (with some wiggle room on either side).

CPU threw 1.75 interception per game while USER threw 0.5. The goal is about 1, so interceptions were tweaked down for USER and up for CPU to get these closer.

USER yards per carry was 4.31 near my target of 4.2. CPU was at 3.29/carry. To compensate, CPU run blocking was moved up 3 to 50 and user tackle was dropped from 42 to 37.

I made a small change to the false start penalty to 90. This is to try to combat the CPU from consistently false starting on FG attempts. On several occasions, it has resulted in the FG attempt to be forgone and punted instead on long field goal attempts.

Overall, I'm very happy with where the USER sliders are. CPU needs some tweaking, but it's not so far gone that it can't be fixed. If I can keep sacks down, I think these could be great sliders moving forward. They're already very good.

Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

Things are looking pretty good! Try lowering your penalty sliders, they do affect line play and sacks. On page two or three of this section are mine from last year and explained in theory. Again, great job on these! Very very close.

Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

This game felt excellent. The running game was a bit high, but if I were Detroit, I'd run the ball too if my starting quarterback was injured and my backup got hurt during the game too. A couple of the user sacks came after taking an 11 point lead, with a minute left and the 3rd string quarterback trying to rally the team. It's a great start for Sliders 6.0!

Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

Another good game without an insane number of sacks. There were still a lot, but not so much that it distracted from the game. Still feeling very good about the current set.

Re: Coach Mode CFM Human vs CPU Sliders

3 games into the new sliders and no major flaws. Sacks still a bit of an issue, but toned down somewhat from previous slider sets. The game has opened up quite a bit with QBs going to WRs more than they previously had.
