Re: I think speed has an enormous impact on gameplay

playing great games with All Madden difficulty, Normal speed, and default sliders for now, waiting on messing with sliders at the moment and just enjoying playing the game, game has only been out less than two weeks. i figure there is plenty of time before our community slider gurus, future patches by EA, and rosters come together for an even better experience. Madden this year is the best it has been in years right out of the box and i just want to enjoy playing and avoid slideritus as in past years.

I think speed has an enormous impact on gameplay

Playing on very fast and the CPU QB feels much better and never holds on to the ball for one of those dumb sacks

My opinion is that slow is the way to go this year. Fast means that players warp around unrealistically. Throw a pass and a cb will magically fly to intercept the ball at 100mph. That's not realistic. Also, the quicker the play, the more sacks there are, as O linemen are beaten off the line far more easily and can't recover against the faster D linemen.

Each to their own preference.

You've witnessed more sacks on fast, or are you just assuming? You're the first one I've seen make this observation...

He's definitely assuming because that's not the case at all playing with the gameplay above slow.

It will be interesting to see in anything changes with the tuning update. After that update I played on normal and got slaughtered by Cam with my Bucs even though I sacked him 8 times. Then I played same matchup on slow. It was still a very competitive effort by the cpu still beating me. The sacks went down to 4 but his completion percentage went up to 88%...

Re: I think speed has an enormous impact on gameplay

What about leaving the QB accuracy at 50 and dropping the WR catching down? Some players say every wideout make spectacular plays going back for one handed catches and catching it while being hit... Why not drop the catching down so if getting hit they don't always catch the ball... That way the QB will still be aggressive but won't complete that many passes... Brandon Marshall was targeted over 164 times and caught 100 balls... That's only 60% of the balls caught... 7% of them were dropped...

Try dropping the CPU WR catching, bringing down the defense interceptions, and bringing up the USER defense awareness... See what results come up...
