Re: JaymeeAwesome's Realistic Game Stats Sliders (M15 CFM)
Just wanted to add some more praise to this slider set. After getting Madden 15 last week - my first Madden game in awhile, since '12 - I tried a handful of sliders and this was by far the best.
In terms of difficulty, I found it adequate, though after 5 games it may be getting a bit easy, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. In my last two games, the CPU has failed to score a TD, though they had moved the ball at times (and it was against the Jags and Jets, so this may be an exception). The last game was a blowout win as well. I think the next three games though will be a good test for difficulty as I have a team I should beat a toss up and a team I should lose to (Raiders, Chiefs, Broncos - playing as San Diego) coming up. I'll check back in with results after those 3 games.
In terms of realistic gameplay and stats, these sliders have been wonderful. Offense is especially fun and realistic. Passing downfield is challenging and difficult, but with patience is possible. I've been forced to settle with a lot of short, efficient routes which feels very realistic as its how Rivers and the Chargers O works. Running is similar; it is mostly frustrating, as I've only been gaining 3.5 YPC up to my most recent game in which I finally broke a bunch of huge runs. Many of these came with the game out of reach in the 4th quarter and me just rotating through with Matthews, Woodhead and Brown in a blowout game, which again, feels like real life.
On defense, I still feel like I'm getting too many sacks, but otherwise the gameplay feels realistic. Those sacks may be a result of playing with the lead, as in my two losses in which I was playing from behind for the most part, I only netted one sack, but in the three wins, I've had a total of 22 sacks. CPU passing feels right though - Palmer and Wilson picked my D apart, while Manuel, Bortles, and Smith struggled. I may up the CPU run block eventually as I've had a fairly easy time stopping the run with the exception of being blasted by Spiller for 175+/2TD.
The only thing I might suggest changing is the kicking power. I feel like this version of Madden is a bit too tough on kickers with low power ratings. Yes, its somewhat realistic playing with Novak, not a big-legged kicker, who rarely even attempts a 50+ yard FG. But even with ~42+ yards, unless I hit the kick perfectly, it falls short. That seems to be compensating for lower kick power ratings a bit too much, though I'm not sure how upping the kick power sliders will affect those better kickers. The opposite danger is having Dan Bailey start consistently kicking 60+ yarders. Guess it's all about the balance.
Anyway, just to give an idea of how these sliders are playing for me in the first 5 games of CFM, here are my results and some stats:
