CPU not taking enough deep shots down the field.

Anyone else having this problem? Been using most of slider sets. Raising it will work but they really shred the defense.

I'm not having that problem. I've just played against the 49ers and had Kaepernick burn me with a few deep shots down the field. Especially a long bomb to Stevie Johnson... >.> wasn't fun trying to stop that lol

I played using Armor and Sword's sliders (with just a few tweaks of my own) on Normal speed (playing as the Rams), and had Aaron Rodgers passing the ball very well. He took shots on routes at 10 to 15 yards, as well as 20 to 30 yards. As for deep passes I also had him take his shots deep as well, connecting on about a 60 yard deep bomb for a TD.

I think it just depends on what's working for the CPU at the time. If they are running well, have a good running back, then you'll probably see them hand it off more (like the Eagles with McCoy), and vice versa. In the game I played against the Packers, there was a somewhat balanced approach with Eddie Lacy also getting his carries and plowing ahead for first downs, but that success on the ground also didn't turn Rodgers away from the passing game.

So as I said, I think a lot might depend on the ability/rating of the QBs, their strength/weaknesses, and if they have a competent run game taking place. I've also had Rodgers tuck and run when the pressure came from time to time, just as he has done in real life, using his legs and avoiding the sack.

I agree that the long ball attempts are not there. Although they were there before I started tinkering with the sliders. At that point the cpu QB was hitting on 85% of his throws so that had to be corrected.

I think it also depends a lot on what defenses u r calling. Obviously if u r calling zone coverage like cover 4 and such, a qb won't take the chance and throw it deep. As much as the commentary kinda stinks, Simms says it when u call deep zones, qb is forced to go underneath. I've been burned deep a few times caught in a cover 2 at the wrong time.
