It might be the sweet spot to being able to see 1 or 2 called in a game, every other game. That would be okay.

As I've already stated, all of the other penalty sliders are working great, after 7 games played now. Varied penalties (even defensive offsides when the QB fake hikes and then hikes it, plus encroachment calls) and at believable, numerous numbers. The holding penalty still is pretty much random, even at 99, but I do see it called still.

Only update for tonight, until I play some games.

EDIT: I've also settled on the intentional grounding penalty at 1, instead of 5 or 10, as has been previously tested the past couple of weeks. This still does not get rid of the high overall sack total numbers, but I am noticing the QB DOES throw the ball away more at this setting, rather than the latter settings. After a couple of games last night, and hearing from some other people on their sack totals, it seems instead of the very high numbers being 7, 8, or even 9 or 10.. I am seeing and hearing more around 6 as the high. So, I feel like it's better at IG 1, and that is where it'll remain from here on out. The clipping penalty is the only thing I'm working on getting to work now. Almost completely done with these sliders, unless EA makes some major changes to gameplay...

Hey Quinn what's the reason that you have CPU pass coverage at 45?

Re: Quinn's Sliders (Armor & Sword base set w/ tweaks)

Okay, just finished my 4th game with the Eagles, and I can now say my winning streak has come to an end.

The Eagles had some guys injured for this game. Their starting TE, RT, RG, and WR Riley Cooper were all out. With the RG and RT being out, I thought their running game would suffer some, but I could not have been more wrong.

I don't want to do too long of a write-up, like my others were, since the full box score tells the tale of this game, but I'll hit on some keys points from the game anyway.

I knew before the game the key was going to be stopping LeSean McCoy and Darren Sproles, and that dangerous duo of a rushing attack, all while maybe Foles would complete some passes here and there (and boy did he). My team's overall confidence was pretty high going into this game (3-0 and spent some hours giving the whole team a slight boost before the game), giving me some attribute boosts, I have been working on raising attributes of some key players through XP as well, and I thought this would be a game where my front 7 could show they were one of the best. That didn't happen in this game.

I got the ball first at around the 25 yard line, was driving well with a good mix of runs and passes, but it ended with an INT around their 35 yard line.

Then, as expected the Eagles got started first with their ground attack. Let's just make it simple. My front 7 did not show up this game like previous games, their O-line held up tremendously well. I tried to play-call a little conservative in the beginning, just hoping I can stop any gashing running plays, but that didn't work, as McCoy was just too quick. On some plays, as Robert Quinn, I'd shed the block just a hair too late, and McCoy was running it by me wide outside juuust out of my grasp, and then up the field he went. McCoy was just too quick in his initial burst on the run. Even Adrian Peterson didn't gash me this bad (you can go back in this thread and check the box score of the first game, he ran for 189 yds), despite him still having a great game rushing in that first game.

Then, on key 3rd downs, I would see Sproles come in from time to time. He couldn't gash me like McCoy, but pretty much every time he came in on a 3rd down and short or medium, he'd pick up the 1st, allowing them to continue sustaining drives, and allowing them to feed the ball to McCoy even more. Check the box score to see what Sproles did. Overall, their rushing attack was too much. My front 7 failed horribly.

Foles did start to mix it up though and pass, and it worked to help them keep sustaining drives. So then, I amped up the pressure, causing him to have to throw the ball away a few times and also some errant passes.

On one play (see the box score), they were 3rd and Goal (3 yard line) and had McCoy in the backfield, so I expected a run to the strong side of the line, as he was having most of his success to that side (despite the starting RG and RT being out). So, I adjust my D-line and LBs to shift left, trying to stop them from running outside as they kept doing so well, and what do you know, Foles calls the read-option to the weak-side of the line and jogs in for a TD. As using-controlling Robert Quinn (who didn't get much pressure overall, all night) I didn't have enough time to shed the block and make an attempt at a tackle. Great call, because I was thinking McCoy all the way on that 3rd and Goal on the 3. That was the only read-option all game.

Then, when they were up by a bit in the 4th quarter with about 4:50 to go, to add salt into the wound, or to just seal the deal on the game, Foles throws up a bomb to Jake Matthews for an 80 yard TD. He smoked my DB as he had a good 4-5 yard lead on him. There was no catching him.

Overall in this game, I got sacked on key downs, threw 3 INTs (1 while in the redzone, which was at critical point score-wise), and just couldn't sustain drives to keep the game going my way, which would have been LeSean McCoy sitting on the bench. I would say the lost came from both sides of the ball performing poorly. I don't know much about the Eagles' O-line in real life, but they were dominant in this game, at least the weak-side of the line, because as user-controlling Quinn like I always do, it was difficult to shed blocks and create any pressure whatsoever. I got 1 sack on safety blitz, and the other came from Quinn quickly shedding the block on a power move.. 2 legitimate sacks. Another key to this game, was not creating enough turnovers, while giving up 3 INTs. There was one forced fumble by me, which resulted in a scoop and score late in the game, but that was it. Foles managed the game well, and served me up my first lost of the season. In the previous game, against the injury-riddle Cowboys, Keenum was 2-0 for TD to INT ratio.

I have no injuries right now (and my team's confidence is still somewhat good), but the schedule doesn't get any easier either. My next games are versus the 49ers, Seahawks, @Chiefs, @49ers, @Cardinals. So, we'll definitely see how this team can perform. I know one thing, I need to figure out a better gameplan on stopping the rushing attack (especially long gashes, off-tackle wide outside), otherwise Frank Gore and Marshawn Lynch won't be any fun, just like McCoy wasn't any. Not to mentione, their running QBs. Going to have to keep a QB spy up often, I'm sure. I also don't know what kind of key injuries these teams have sustained, if any. I'll report that as I play the games.

Now, to the box score. Take a look and tell me if you see anything that looks off or not. And yes, I know McCoy whooped me. Overall, great game by the Eagles. I just need to learn to contain the outside run better.

Rams vs 49ers next.

Rams OFF Rank 21 / DEF Rank 8
49ers OFF Rank 12 / DEF Rank 11

So far the NFC West looks like this:

Rams - 3-1-0
49ers - 3-2-0
Seahawks - 2-2-0
Cardinals - 2-2-0

EDIT: I did it again.. I missed entering in an INT for one of the Eagles' players in the box score. I will do my best going forward to make sure no mistakes happen with the box scores. I did throw 3 INTs in this game. By the way, if anyone is interested in the write-ups and box scores of my previous 3 games, they are on pages 16, 17, and 18.

This is a setting Armor had in his early v1.2 base set of sliders, and I agreed with where it was at. I don't know where he has it at now, but I still agree with this setting being at 45.

Re: Quinn's Sliders (Armor & Sword base set w/ tweaks)

So I played my first game tonight with these sliders. I was the Jags against the Packers in Green Bay.

Stats are below.

Basically, it was tied 3-3 before Rodgers got knocked out of the game on a scramble. M. Flynn comes in to replace, and while he does a respectable job, he threw two costly picks, one in the end zone, and another near midfield that got returned for a TD. That ended up being the deciding factor.

All in all, I was hoping to be wiped out early in this game, but it's hard to tell what difference Rodgers would have made and if he could have won it for them.
I was pretty disappointed with how anemic the GB rushing attack was. Lacy never got it going.

Anyway, I plan to give these sliders another shot at least, probably using a more dynamic team against a lesser one to see how things play out.

Re: Quinn's Sliders (Armor & Sword base set w/ tweaks)

That is an interesting game Gordo. You can see I lost to the Eagles tonight, and they were 3-1 coming into that game. That one lost they had actually came in week one versus the Jags. So, I guess any given Sunday.

I don't think the Jags should win many games (especially against the Packers) with Chad Henne at QB, but I have played against the Jags with Bortles in, and Toby Gerhart was pretty good at shedding tackles and trucking defenders from time to time, basically grinding out yards. Bortles also did well in the passing game, getting the ball to rookies Marquise Lee and Allen Robinson enough to sustain some drives. I blame my weak secondary though. lol..

I also got to play against Matt Flynn in my 2nd pre-season game, against my backups of course, and he threw 2 costly picks in that game as well. Though before the starters came out Rodgers and Lacy (didn't run as well as AP and McCoy did against my starters in the regular season however) were doing very well, with a nice mix of pass and run plays for the Packers. In the end, I won that pre-season game with the Rams backups (my backups in the secondary are horrible though), where I just think my depth won out over their depth.

Anyhow, thanks for posting up a box score. I like seeing them.

Thanks Quinn, I'm really enjoying the sliders honestly. Easily the best I've used so far.
But I'm probably going to try at least 2-3 more games before starting up a CFM with them.

I'll be sure to post back stats and discuss the highlights (and lowlights) of the future games.
Thanks again, Quinn!

Good to hear Gordo, I hope these sliders work out for you in the long run. If not, then I hope you do find some good sliders. These next few tough games for me will be a good test to see how the sliders perform, even after I've done plenty of testing already (while personally collaborating with Armor early on, after release), to reach this point.

Frank Gore and Marshawn Lynch coming up, but I think I have more of a problem stopping these overall speed and quick backs (didn't have a problem with Doug Martin from the Bucs) that are breaking their runs off-tackle and then far to the outside, along the sideline, instead of the bruisers like Eddie Lacy, but we'll see what happens. Just gotta watch that running game from Kaepernick and Wilson as well. I'll be QB spying a lot no doubt for those games.
