You would definitely deflate sacks that way (makes sence, less time less sacks), but you also wouldn't get the same offensive and defensive stats as you would having a 120 to 130 range of total plays.

And no, I never tried it.

Sorry Mike, didn't catch the first time.

As for your experience with that, that might just be coincidence, actually.

I play solely with the defensive camera, and have probably played 35, close to 40 games, and have had games where the QB wasn't "automatic," and actually threw errant passes when not pressured and also when pressured. I played as the RDE on my team at this time. I also usually just controlled one player, while sometimes switching.

I've also had games where the QB took what I gave them, the easy stuff, underneath and short outside, and they ended up early on with a high completion rate. So keep that in mind when calling your defense against their offense. You certainly have to make secondary adjustments pre-snap against some of the high completion passes. Then take into account how well you secondary or LBs are who are covering.

So, to answer your question hopefully, I have not seen anything that indicates the camera positioning or player lock has a direct affect on the actual gameplay. Just the player ratings of your players on the field, when letting them make the plays instead. Although however, you may play better with one camera than the other, as well. That could have an affect on some of your outcomes defending the pass.

That's just from my experience with the defensive camera and about 35-40 games, on 15 minute quarters.

Definitely, I'm interested in hearing them. If you can lower the clock and still get 120-130 total plays, great! You'll probably end up having slightly less sack totals in the end then.

Another thing though to keep in mind, more nitpicking really, QBs usually snap the ball with about 5-4 seconds to go on the playclock, on average. So if you want that sim aspect, you'll still need the clock runoff turned on, and on a correct setting.

Is there a specific way you go about calling plays?

Defense or Offense? On Offense I am a run first guy. Establishing the run game opens up the defense where I can hit them with play action. Even though I rely on the run, I still try to be balanced in my attack.

On defense, I mix up man, zone and blitzes.

Yeah I meant do you manually pick your offensive and defensive plays or Goto strategy and pick a play from there.
