Kicking field goals

I am by no means a noob when it comes to madden, but does anyone have any tips how to kick a good damn field goal? I am missing them left and right, wind or no wind. I have the kicking aim thing, I flick the stick down and then up and pointed in direction of the field goal, and then my kicker kicks it towards the sidelines.. And these are 30-40 yard attempts btw

I honestly don't know what you're doing wrong....i've been 100% fgs since madden 93.....I wish I could miss some once in awhile, still waaaaay too easy. Have you made sure that the arrow is fully green? There is an arrow that shows up when you finish the kick, if it's outside the colored zone it will miss. Also don't hold down the whole time, just press down once to start the meter then press the direction up depending on wind and field position press up left/right/straight.

Also, remember to make sure you're pushing up on the stick in the direction you want the ball to go. It's possible that you're pulling it sideways or something.
