Plays per game.

When factoring in how many plays per game an offense has, do field goals and punts count? I'm trying to make sure I'm getting the correct amount so that I have the best stats possible. My scores have been a little high, not too crazy but higher than I'd like. In the game I just played there were a combined 137 plays by both teams, not including field goals, punts or kickoffs. If I included those the total plays would be 157 as there were 12 punts in the game and 8 field goal attempts.

I'm thinking that might be a little high, which would explain some of the stats. However, it just doesn't make sense in my mind that there would not be a realistic number of plays. I play with the runoff clock set to 15 and the ball is usually snapped with anywhere between 8 and 3 seconds left on the play clock. I'd say that's about right, but I could be wrong.

nowadays with all the passing in the NFL, 125-135 is a good amount of total plays. remember to count SACKS as plays. punts, field goals, and kick-offs do not count as plays.

I just play offense and super sim defense and all my fg's. i find that 8 minute quarters yield accurate total plays per game.

Dang, good point about sacks. I forgot to look at those. I'd say I probably had about 4 and they sacked me probably 3 times. So that's 7 more plays.

Pass ATT, Rushing ATT, And Sacks for both teams = Total plays for you SIR
