Speed Threshold at 50, why are you lowering it?

I'm curious as to why someone would want to lower the speed threshold from 50. I feel 50 is perfect. I can see raising it for more of a challenge, but lowering it why?

I have 2 videos showing the game at 50, and you can clearly see getting the big play at 50 is not a issue, and neither is separation.

I don't enjoy breaking a kick off with jacoby jones only to be ran down by a LB. Idc if my stamina is out or not. No way jones or pretty much any returner for that matter would be caught after breaking through the defense, ever.

Thresh hold and tackle are the only adjustments this game needs this year. If you want a challenging game , leave the sliders at 50 except for tackling. Put it at 60 for both. Raise threshold to 55 . If you run this on very slow it plays out beautifull

I like threshold at 0 because I feel that the game manipulates player VS CPU speed at higher difficulty levels.

On All-Pro, the CPU gets a slight speed boost.
On All-Madden, the CPU gets an even more significant speed boost.

I'm finding with it at 0, I'm able to turn the corner with HBs and WRs more often against slower LBs and safeties.

Just my experience though. Still open to testing!

I thought the videos were very interesting. As a matter of fact in one play you see the RB getting to the outside, and turning the corner, breaking away from the defenders. For once, if EA would let us know what setting realistically mimics true player speeds, we wouldn't be trying to figure it out.

I use 0 threshold (on normal speed) and this is why. I believe what Swagger believes.

This has been discussed in a lengthier thread not too long ago, but 0 threshold is the way to go, in my opinion. I have tried 50, 35, 25, and settled on 0 finally. Threshold is definitely less sensitive to change than it was in M25, definitely. I still believe 0 threshold gives you the proper separation in regards to players' ratings/attributes, especially if you are playing on All-Pro, where I believe player ratings are represented on the field way more than what you see with the CPU on All-Madden.

And this guy also makes a good point, especially when you have speedsters with 94+ acceleration or 95+ speed, on your team.

In the videos I was playing on very fast speed setting. IDK if that has anything to do with it thus making the threshold at 50 workable, but im seeing players that like 0 threshold play on slow.

In today's NFL linebackers track down wide receivers pretty frequently. I see it every Sunday. Now i'm not saying every linebacker, but theres a good bunch that can run down a WR.

What speed do you play on?
