Re: HuskerFan214 Madden NFL 15 "NFL on CBS" Slider Set

@HuskerFan214

Good stuff with your slider set. I really enjoyed the HUM offensive game. I forced maybe 6 or 7 passes into coverage and the CPU intercepted me 3 times (using Joe Flacco). I felt that the HUM run game was pretty good. I averaged about 3.1 yds per carry with Forsett.

NOTE: This was in an Offline, CFM using the most updated roster set provided by EA.

Now on to the CPU offensive stats (Notable Performers) - - >

Dalton

QBR: 78.1
Comp: 19/23 (82%)
Yds: 263
INT: 2
Yds Avg: 11.4
Long: 60

Bernard

Att: 13
Yds: 42
AVG: 3.2
Long: 9

Hill

Att: 12
Yds: 49
AVG: 4.0
Long: 13

Green:

Rec: 7
Yds: 110
AVG: 15.7
YAC Avg: 4.0

Jones:

Rec: 4
Yds: 53
AVG: 13.2
YAC Avg: 18

*Key things to note:

1) Dalton's comp % was high, BUT this could be due to the fact that I'm not a defensive scheme guru....I play mostly zone defense BUT on short yardage situations, I go Man or Blitz.

2) One beautiful play that was a GNC moment for me played out like this - - >

I was Webb (Ravens) covering AJ Green. Flacco calls an audible and gets me on an island, one-on-one with Green. Green fakes in and then streaks....BOOM! I got burned...And Green catches a reception for 60 or so yards. It was a thing of beauty!

3) Gio Bernard & Hill's numbers in the rushing game are quite believable...Hill got more playing time since Gio got injured twice in the game (but nothing that kept him out)...

4) Flacco could not get anything going in the air...The CPU defense were ball hawks, BUT not in a 'ROBO-Hawk' type manner. I really varied my play calling throughout the game (tried not to repeat plays) and the CPU adjusted accordingly.

***5) Now this is where I was let-down and something that was hard to obviously overlook. My Ravens 'D' registered 8 sacks.

Beyond #5, the game was fantastic! A defensive battle that ended in the Bengals winning 12-7...Although, if I could have been given a chance to challenge the last play, I may have been able to win on a last second corner toss to Pitta!

Good stuff on the sliders HuskerFan...I'm thinking of running a test with these sliders using 'Normal' speed (OR) a QB-edited roster w/ EA's new set.

I like these so far more than any other set I've played with. Just finished my first half, Browns (me) vs Steelers. I'm down 10-7, with my lone touchdown being set up by a deep pass to Gordon. Just being able to throw a deep pass out in front of the receiver makes the game more fun lol.

Thanks for the feedback! I have had sack games were I have 5 or more and games were I had 1. These sliders feel the most organic I have played so far. Think we will have to wait until EA patches pass block? I have tried set in normal and just does not feel the same? Feel they are a solid set and will update when EA sends down a major update.

The game did feel very organic. I really appreciated the CPU's defense against Flacco. I really had to think twice in throwing into coverage. And the run game was like a chess match trying to hit those holes and accelerate or decide to go into 'beast mode' and try to truck someone in the mouth! LOL! But like I mentioned...that play where I got burned by AJ Green (although frustrating) really put a smile on my face. AJ Green is a nightmare to defend (which is the way it should be).

8 sacks is not 'impossible' considering Rodgers got sacked 8 times by the Seahawks a year ago...But just want to make sure it won't happen every game. Will play another game and give you some stats. Thanks for the sliders man! Cheers!

You are right about the sacks number but I think I understood you play offline right? If so that can be the explanation for such a high number of sacks. Playing a CFM online with the tuner EA released plus the offside and holding penalties set as per Husker you shouldn't see so many sacks.

Re: HuskerFan214 Madden NFL 15 "NFL on CBS" Slider Set

So I was pulled in by your great first post with picture and video to try your set first this year.

The game played pretty well, considering it was my first full game this year. I played the first game of my mess around Redskins cfm until the patch comes out. To explain why some of my offensive numbers will look the way they do is when I have a mobile QB I tend to run a lot of pistol, options, PA, and so forth so it's by no means the traditional offense I would normally run. However in either offense I love to run first and ask questions later lol.

So to the game, on offense: Really don't think there's anything I can say about user offense, it played well for me. I ran the ball semi-effectively, passing was there when it was set-up, RG3 was somewhat wild and I had 2 picks dropped. We probably would have at last got a FG or 2 in the 1st half but RG3 fumbled twice in Houston territory. Our first two touchdowns came on a long streak route by DeSean for 60 yards, then Hankerson out jumped his man for the TD on a double move PA play.

To defense: I started the game playing with Orakpo and Kerrigan on the outside, and I got one sack then I played exclusively with DeAngelo Hall the rest of the game. Fitzpatrick took to many sacks, but at least towards the end of the game he started to scramble when nothing was there. Speaking of it was still just a 2 TD late in the 4th, but scrambling out of the pocket Fitzpatrick fumbled on two consecutive drives, the first of which was scooped and returned for a TD, while the other set us up around the 20 and resulted in a FG.

Overall not bad for the first game, will have to see how it continues on in Jacksonville next week. Also sorry for any grammatical errors I'm on my phone, switching over to my computer now to make up a boxscore for ya.

Major difference is the penalty sliders and adjusted pass block up to try to impact sacks in the game. Feel that until they patch the QB awareness and make them throw the ball away these are the best for now.
