Maybe but if other companies are not doing it I don't really expect them to do it either.

Crazy thing is it only seems like the USER pass defense is messed up. Put the CPUs pass reaction and Coverage on 100 and you'll see great coverage from them.

Re: Reaction Time & Pass Cover Focus Thread

This is the main reason why the game is so frustrating.

Not sure if the MLB The Show guys have . . . but then again, their sliders actually do what the descriptions in the menu say they do . . . and they work . . .

Re: Reaction Time & Pass Cover Focus Thread

Well developers coming out and explaining what sliders do isn't really necessary for most other sports games since they usually do what the description states.
It's only in Madden where something as odd as Roughing The Kicker sliders affecting pursuit happens.

Re: Reaction Time & Pass Cover Focus Thread

Do not want to hijack the thread, and this will be my last comment on this. But EA is missing the boat here. How, on one hand, can they create blogs and video blogs telling us "we really listened to you guys and fixed x, y, z and we are on your boards and listening and want to make this the best game and with what you want", and then on the other hand just refuse to put out a one page summary of sliders and interactions? I mean, they HAVE to have this in house. What is the risk on making it public?

It seems like such an easy thing for them to do to garner more good will and customer appreciation and loyalty. It is a no brainer in the marketing sense. But, instead, they watch from afar and allow their loyal customer base to struggle for months, and in some cases years, to try to figure out what should be self-explanatory. I just don't get some of the decisions these guys make. I mean, what exactly is the risk here?

To be honest, it seems more like a slap in the face than anything else. I applaud their efforts this year as they have really moved in the right direction and made a huge leap forward on next gen. I hope to see this continue. But to keep us in the dark on sliders??? Really?? Where is the logic in that?

Re: Reaction Time & Pass Cover Focus Thread

Very few sports game developers talk about their sliders. I wonder why.

Is it because they arent entirely sure of the effect on the game?
