@JoshC1977:

Is it your experience that the penalty sliders for M15 are pretty much as "responsive" (with regard to their "unintended consequences" vis a vis gameplay) as previous years or are they less responsive?

Thanks!

Offsides/Holding/False Start - about the same
Facemask - a tad more responsive
OPI/DPI - more responsive
PCI - about the same
Clipping - about the same
IG - just a weird slider all around
RTP - maybe a little less responsive
RTK - about the same

Re: JoshC1977s M15 Set

Well guys - I broke down and did something I didn't think I would do; I lowered threshold (to 19). First off, and hopefully he reads this, but major kudos to SECElite for this setting - it works quite nicely.

To compensate for the extra "oomph" that skill players get, I raised the Clipping slider back to 50 to keep outside runs from being too overpowering.

Played a couple of games with this set-up, one as the Pats versus the Dolphins, here is the box score (one note, I played with CPU QBA at 4 as an experiment):

Moreno ran well against my defense early on before getting hurt, Miller came in and looked like a back-up; making poor decisions in picking out blocks.

Tannehill played a good game, sacked only twice (one being a 0 yard sack by CB Logan Ryan when he was running outside and Ryan was able to disengage from the WR blocking him just in time). His completion percentage was a tad too high for my taste (if he goes 66%, then what will the elite QBs do?).

Had one big play on offense as I was able to hit Edelman down the middle; he broke a tackle and was gone...the defenders unable to catch him.

So, going to keep playing (I'm going to see how QBA at 3 feels - but I am likely going back to 2). The set changes, from the current OP are as follows:

Threshold to 19
Clipping to 50

Let me know your thoughts....I really like how this threshold feels.

Re: JoshC1977s M15 Set

Had a second straight tough loss as the Patriots; this time losing in Minnesota 40-34. Played with the new set (with CPU QBA at 3) and it played very well. Ridley finished with 27-135 and 2 TDs while Peterson finished with 31-134-1. Brady struggled with his downfield throws (I need to stop being so greedy ).

Bridgewater struggled a bit (completing 9-20 for 185) but had an absolutely beautiful bomb to Jarius Wright for a 62 yard TD. Teddy got hurt and Cassel came in and kept them afloat, completing 5-8 for 71 yards while they went run-oriented.

I was down 21 in the 3rd but kept clawing back. I cut the deficit to 3 and had the ball back, but Brady threw a pick (remember what I said about being greedy). I somehow managed to hold the Vikes to a FG. Got the ball back with just over a minute to go and no TOs, but the Vikes shut me down on a 4 and out to ice the game.

Definitely love how these played. Peterson played like Peterson (after we shut down the Dolphins run game the week prior). Next up are the Raiders....

Edit.....and one more thing....man the Pats receivers suck wad (Gronk is a good TE, but Edelman is the next best thing and he is, at best, a number 3)....how Brady is successful IRL with that Rag Tag receiving corps just speaks volumes to how good he is.

Re: JoshC1977s M15 Set

How's your pass coverage with your reaction higher? Any more passes broken up by your cbs? Your sticking to 100 reaction and coverage?

There is definitely a fine line with the CPU accuracy. On 2 the percentages are great but there is just some passes that should be made which is fruatrating. For me personally high 60s is fine because you have to have the challenge in there. I think a lot of people want that 'perfect game' stats wise but then flip their lid when the CPU has a good day. It's like if penaltys were actually in the game and their team got stung on a game winning drive with a penalty that took them out of field goal range they would still scream cheat.

Just need to ball and enjoy the game. I got knocked out of playoffs first game to Chicago after pumping them earlier in the year and I thought it was kind of kool. Great sliders josh.

I actually went back to the old settings. With the new threshold, defenders can get to the ball better. I am also using a QBA of 3 (have not posted on OP) and am seeing a little better variety and increased difficulty. Check out the OP; I think you'll be happy.

Re: JoshC1977s M15 Set

Played first game with this set as the Cowboys against the 49ers (Season 1, Week 1). Feel behind early and also lost Murray, so meant I had to chase the game with Romo, which lead to some disastrous consequences.

Romo ended up 28/55 for 263 yards, 1 TD, 4 INTs (two were in the final minutes as I chased the game). While Murray was in the game he had 15 carries for 49 yards (3.2 YPC), Lance Dunbar did a decent job as back up, 34 yards off 8 carries (4.2 YPC) but obviously down 21 with time running out meant I leant on the pass. Bryant and Witten put up numbers you'd expect from their real life counterparts, 13 catches for 114 yards for Bryant (plus 2 TDs) and 8 catches for 87 yards from Witten.

As for the Niners, Kaepernick was 8/18 for 129 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. Was sacked 5 times though (a couple of them from being caught after deciding to scramble). Gore struggled with running the ball, but 2 runs that netted him a total of 90 yards made his numbers look respectable. Only 3 receivers caught balls from Kaepernick, with Vernon Davis leading the way with 5 catches for 81 yards and 1 TD.

Final score 31-17.

Will try another game with me being stronger than the CPU to see if it balances well.
