Re: JoshC1977s M15 Set

Just wanted to chime in and say thank you for these sliders. They've made the game so much more enjoyable in my CFM. Couple of notes:

* Very few games become runaways for either side - I've blown out a couple of teams I can take advantage of and been destroyed by superior teams, but evenly matched teams play that way
* Sacks are still a minor issue, but much, much less than they are on default settings
* It threw me for a loop the first few times I threw a pass and it didn't go anywhere near where I expected but I love that both my QB and the CPU QB end up somewhere between 60-70% completion rating most of the time
* I love the fact that lineman ratings actually matter - two of my starters got hurt in a simulation and when I played the next game I went from 4.5+ yards per carry in previous games to less than 3.0 yards per carry
* I've seen 2-3 holding penalties called per game, which is nice to see
* Interceptions happen, but you need to have a DB who actually has a decent catching rating
* Kick and punt returns are way more fun because you can actually get blocks, break tackles, and potentially spin away for a TD - one of my favorite parts of this slider set

I have yet to feel cheated by the CPU using this slider set and have had some real nail-biters (and also some games where I got totally stomped but it felt totally legitimate). Thanks for your work on these!

This leads me to believe that they dont affect actual tendencies. Anyone else have any input. Like i've told many, I'm not a slider expert by no means. Any input would be appreciated
the penalties have more of an effect on gameplay and CPU tendencies than actual penalty calls... there are "SWEET" spots...
keep clipping around 25-35 for more aggressive run blocking,
or 99 holding for more cautious holds on the block for pass...
etc etc etc

Penalty sliders trigger the animations/player tendencies that cause penalties, but just because the animation is triggered, doesn't mean the penalty will be called. Thus, you have new animations and actions triggered that now affect how the game plays out on the field.

Josh been loving the sliders and having great game but feel my d is just a little too good. Playing in second year as the panthers so can't tell if it's just the strong front 7 I have. If I drop reaction abit will that open up their run? Also not seeing very many pass deflections so was wondering if I lowered pass coverage but put reaction up abit do u think this would result in abit more? Just wondering on ur views. Cheers bro

Concerning penalties, although I still haven't seen a pass interference or a holding on a pass play I did see an unnecessary roughness on a late hit out of bounds. I didn't even know that was possible in madden so that was cool

Re: JoshC1977s M15 Set

Just went to 4-1 in my Dolphins CFM after a beating of the Packers 30-14, unfortunately no stats with me
I was dissapointed because all my games to this point were super competetive and won by 3 pts or less, all could easily be losses, I was expecting Rodgers to tear me up but he finished with horrible numbers. Though Green Bay is 1-4 in my CFM with worst pass DEF/best pass OFF but confidence probably killed them, they were missing their RT so i gameplanned some blitzes to expose a weakness ...
easily my best day running the ball(L. Miller=31/143 2 TD).... I just ATE the clock up. i went up 17-7 at the half so it was sort of close but my gameplan of runs and play action worked nice...

Re: JoshC1977s M15 Set

Just played a game with these sliders and I love them but the CPU run game was a little underwhelming. It seemed to be that they CPU never let the run game get going. It was Bears(CPU) vs Falcons(me) and for the first three quarters forte had like 8 carries for like 20 yards but in the 4th when they were up by two touchdowns or so, which they were for most of the game, they finally started to run and forte finished with like 80 or 90 yards. Has anyone else seen the CPU be pass heavy the whole game or was this just a one off?

I was noticing that as well, but it was more that any run by the CPU was getting 1-2 yards so it was forcing them to throw on 2nd & 3rd and long. The solution I found was to up CPU run blocking to 10 & HUM tackle down to 10. The first game after I did this Ben Tate ran for 130 yards on me w/ 20 something carries (forget the exact stats). The game after that Steven Jackson, who is arguably not as good, had 15 carries for 50 yards which seemed about right to me. Matt Ryan threw about 35 times in that game which I was fine with.

I know this is a really small sample but I like how it looks so far.
