Re: JoshC1977s M15 Set

Yeah, sorry, it was 0.3 or 0.4 (whatever you had posted previously), modified based on the comments the last couple of days. It was pretty close to 1.0, especially penalty wise, but reaction and coverage sliders were different.

I think the problem, though, is just that the AI QB is too dumb/slow, without the ratings boost it gets from AM.

Josh I thought these played very well in my CFM the only thing is I don't feel the WR and CB are attacking the ball so I wonder should DPI and OPI be turned completely off to say 0 to see if the WR and CB actually jump for the ball and fight for it. I am going to try it as a play the Dolphins over again. Otherwise I loved how the QB's actually scrambled and didn't turn into robo QB and actually took s a few shots down the field.

The running game for Miami was not good against the Bills but that could be just the Bills defense being so tough. I really liked that Tannehill only completed 66% of his passes and Manuel only completed 61% because that looks realistic.

Do you have any thoughts of lowering OPI and DPI to 0 to see if we can get them to fight for the ball?

You can try it; but I use these settings to get the receivers more involved; setting OPI/DPI equally makes coverage too tight and can lead to a lot of coverage sacks on the CPU QBs. That said, I have not tried it at 0/0 - so who knows....

Well that idea didn't work, all it seemed to do was exactly what you said as there were more coverage sacks. I did see one or two plays where guys were fighting for the ball and the DB's were much more aggressive. The other thing it seemed to do was make the HUM running game easier as CJ Spiller ran for 130 yds on 28 carries and Fred Jackson ran for 60 yards on 9 carries while Knowshown Moreno and Lamar Miller combined for 63 yards on 20 carries for the CPU rushing game.

I am almost ready to shelf this game once and for all. It's so frustrating trying to figure out the sliders this year.

I really like your new version of sliders but I am a modified coach mode player and want to see the CPU take more shots down the field. Modified means I control the running, QB scrambling, and running after the catch. I control no players on defense.

I will keep checking back to see if you have had any success.

WR/DB interactions are one of the two weakest part in this game and sliders can't "fix" them without going to extreme measures which then exposes the other weakness in this game (QB AI). You can tighten the DPI a tad more than I have it; but I would go no higher than 60-65.

Have you tried using the same logic but with the other end of the scale?

Example: 25/0, 50/25, etc. with OPI > DPI by +25 like you currently have (75/50).

Just a thought.

Yes, and WRs never go after the ball - they just wait for the ball to come to them to make the nice, safe catch or let the DB to swat it away.
