Re: JoshC1977s M15 Set

The user running game probably depends on what runs you call. In the game there are some run-plays that just work very well, regardless of sliders (e.g. Shotgun Spread Offset - Inside Zone, when the defense is spread out and only has 5 or 6 guys left in the box). You can basically run these plays all over the CPU until they stack the box, leaving WRs wide open in the slot.

Aside from those plays I think the 'normal' user running game (when you run from under center) is pretty hard with the current settings.

True....but shotgun plays tend to be a tad on the cheesy side, especially if you are using a team that doesn't run a ton of shotgun and you want to run them as they are IRL.

Going with a power run game right now has been a bit of a nightmare so far with this set. I think the pass reaction tweak will help a fair bit; but this whole set is as delicate as a tower of cards....one wrong move and the whole thing comes crashing down.

To help with the CPU run game, I'd suggest bumping up user TAK by 5 points and see how that does.
I don't even notice the CPU run game being overpowered because I dominate time of possession so much.

I know there is a balance to be found in the HUM running game, because I tried the Husker sliders from this site (All Madden slow speed) and I was only getting 2 yards per carry. His settings have HUM run block at 0 and CPU tackling at 60. Now, that's going too far the other way, but at least it gives me hope that there are sliders out there that keep me from holding the ball 40 minutes every single game.

Im reducing HUM run block to 10 to see what happens. No other changes.

I agree that there is a balance....the human run game is way too difficult right now. Why you are having "too easy" of a time with it is beyond me (if I had to guess, something with your settings is jacking it up....and it could be something totally unexpected). I'm sure there is a reason why you are seeing these things...and you shouldn't be as what I am seeing is not a player skill issue.

My settings are exactly as you have posted them...

So, I used the Bengals against the Ravens in a CFM with the HUM run block at 10. I saw much of the same.

Bernard 42-196
Hill 12-50

I held the ball for 39 minutes.

I do run a ton of shotgun run plays, but as I said, the Husker settings stifle my run game, so it's not all about formation.

Other than the fact that you are running the ball an unrealistic number of times per game (not a criticism...just a fact)...I see nothing too crazy with the averages.

I sent you a PM....I really need some feedback on other aspects of what you are doing....

Unrealistic amount of running? Should I throw up 2 TD's in the 3rd quarter?

I don't know what else to do other than to work out some hybrid between this set and Husker's.

As far as the human run game.....I just don't know yet....if everyone is seeing what I am seeing, then there should be no question about the CPU defense being over-reactive. But if we are not and all things are equal, then something is amiss...

Rickyfins....please check your PMs....
I got your message. I hope that helps and theres a solution to all of this. Im seeing 100 yard games from hum and cpu EVERY game. 30 yards by the 1st. 60 or 70 by the half then anywhere from 100-150 by the end of the game. I dont have problems with those numbers, but i see them from both backs EVERY game. Im at midseason now so i check the rushing stats of every back i face beforehand, i check his confidence and his lines confidence. Then i check the opposing teams defense against to the run. Etc etc just to see where things may go. But its the same EVERY game. I get 100 plus and the cpu does too.
