Your tackling is too high. The tacklers are going to be taking over-aggressive angles to get to the ball. In fact, since the patch, defenders in general are too aggressive and don't read the play as much.

I'm working on updating my set to address this issue and will be posting an update in an hour or two.

I'm having the same issue. Running all over the cpu.

Re: User Running too easy...suggestions?

I have been testing tackle slider at 55-65 for CPU. That seem to help with big runs and run defense.

I wouldn't say this is off topic, but its not a resolution just more of an observation. I don't see how you run at ALL with Run Block at 0. I understand different people have different experiences at different levels but hell, it can't be THAT much different between households.

My games are played on All Madden and Run Block at 0 literally leaves NO time to do anything behind the line. I mean the defenders instantly come off of their block and are in the back field before you have time to make ANY move, no stick skills or game play experience even come into play, there's NO blocking. Not calling you a liar my man, but come on, there's no way running is too EASY with blocking on 0, no way.

Its a combination of run blocking, tackling and the fumble slider. Running can be way to easy with run block 0 if the other sliders are out of kilter.

Try Human run block 0, AI tackling 30 or 35 and Human Fumbles at 5. This seems to be a pretty good mix.

I have User Run Block at 0, User fumble at 55, and CPU Tackling at 55. And I wouldn't say I run all over the cpu, but picking up 2-3 yards EVERY time is easy. So in 3rd and short situations it's almost always a first down.... I will try lowering the fumble slider and cpu tackle to see what happens....

Re: User Running too easy...suggestions?

Another slider to consider is your Pass Reaction slider - as the further you go below 50 the more the defense focuses on the run instead of pass, and vice-versa...

Therefore, if you find a nice set of sliders in a majority of areas but just find either the run defense is too loose or the pass game too tight, etc etc., you can use the pass reaction slider as a sort of balancing slider..

I would actually leave pass reaction at 50 and work out all your other sliders and then use the pass reaction to fine tune the difference between pass and run, which inevitably seems to happen...

It is easy, IMO, to get a good run game in general; the hard part is getting the CPU defense to be at least 50% effective in stopping the 3rd or 4th and short run plays, while still allowing for about a 4 yard average overall on base situation plays on 1st and 2nd down...

I am saying 4 yard run average due to the 2014 stats that places about half of the NFL starting running backs in the area of averaging from 4.0 to 5.0..

Of the top ten rushers, in carries this year, only one is below 4 yards/carry, and he is at 3.9 yds/carry...
