Re: Capa's Coach Mode Settings

Updated a few values to control the run game a bit better...

Back to slideritis. I made some changes here. May be good, may be bad. Seems like all other sliders...they seem great for a few games then it seems like it all falls apart, right? Ugh. Anyway, I am trying these updates. I was trying to add a bit more offense into the game as defense seems to rule this year. Wanted to open it up more.

Speed: Normal
Gameplay: Pro
Qtr: 14 mins
accel: 17 seconds
Injuries: your choice (I use 40 since don't want many)
fatigue: 68
Threshold: 0 (I want speedsters to pull away from everyone - open up the game)

Penalties
Offside: 10
False Start: 50
Holding: 55
Facemask: 20
DPI: 79
OPI: 80
PCI: 1
Clipping: 62
IG: 1
RTP: 65
RTK: 25

Human/CPU sliders

QBA: 3/4
PBK: 0/0
WRC: 43/43
RBK: 58/58 - Updated
Fum: 53/53 - Updated
Pass React: 50/50
Int: 50/50
Pass Cov: 50/50
Tackle: 1 (I hate pinball tackling and want players to fight for extra yards)

Remember, I use these with my Classic team file so they may not hold up at all with stock rosters. Also, I often start out coaching and then let the cpu play cpu so some of these settings were made with that in mind.

I am sure I will be tweaking again...but see how they work for you.

COACH mode only.

C

Not good. As I expected, they play differently with EA rosters...

PS: I updated the post above with a few changes to try to control the run game better.

Re: Capa's Coach Mode Settings

I've modified those a bit. I will post revisions here later.

The sliders will look wonky if you compare them to other sliders on the board. The reason is I really wanted to open up the running and passing game. This year's Madden is geared toward defense and it is frustrating to see Payton, Smith, Brown, etc get held to sub 100 yard games and pretty much just function as a receiver out of the backfield.

With my set you will see more broken tackles, fewer tackles for loss in backfield, more WR separation, and other things that harken back to the golden era of football in the 60's and 70's.

My set is not for everyone and please keep in mind I play COACH mode and often start a game and then put controller in middle and watch 2 CPU teams battle it out. My set is great for that. So, I would recommend you use your own sets or what you are using now if you are an on the field player.

I will post update later...
