The sliders will look wonky if you compare them to other sliders on the board. The reason is I really wanted to open up the running and passing game. This year's Madden is geared toward defense and it is frustrating to see Payton, Smith, Brown, etc get held to sub 100 yard games and pretty much just function as a receiver out of the backfield.

With my set you will see more broken tackles, fewer tackles for loss in backfield, more WR separation, and other things that harken back to the golden era of football in the 60's and 70's.

My set is not for everyone and please keep in mind I play COACH mode and often start a game and then put controller in middle and watch 2 CPU teams battle it out. My set is great for that. So, I would recommend you use your own sets or what you are using now if you are an on the field player.

I will post update later...

Re: Capa's Coach Mode Settings

Updated settings in OP on page 1.

Caveats

1) Coach mode only or cpu vs cpu
2) tested with my classic roster file

Will probably perform much differently for you using stock EA roster files.
Speed: Slow
Gameplay: Pro
Qtr: 14 mins
accel: 15 seconds
Injuries: your choice (I use 40 since don't want many)
fatigue: 68
Threshold: 0 (I want speedsters to pull away from everyone - open up the game)

Penalties
Offside: 10
False Start: 50
Holding: 53
Facemask: 15
DPI: 79
OPI: 80
PCI: 20
Clipping: 62
IG: 1
RTP: 40
RTK: 5

Human and CPU sliders the same for Coach mode:

QBA: 3 (I know some passes will really miss but have to bring down % comp)
PBK: 0
WRC: 42
RBK: 52
Fum: 51 (higher setting allows for more aggressive RB runs/moves)
Pass React: 50
Int: 50
Pass Cov: 50
Tackle: 0 (I hate pinball tackling and want players to fight for extra yards)

Re: Capa's Coach Mode Settings

Though I'd prefer to play default all-pro, after 2.5 seasons in a coach mode offline CFM, I'm close to throwing In the towel. I switched to coach mode years ago as it was way less frustrating than losing games because I stink at playing virtual QB. Now that I'm finding myself as or more frustrated as I was in those days, it's time to either begrudgingly try some sliders or move on to something else altogether.

Re: Capa's Coach Mode Settings

I agree. None work for Coach mode. Not mine either. I just do Play Now and hope for the best but truth be known, I change the sliders almost every game because some stuff is just so wonky. There is no way to combat it to be honest.

Just keep fingers crossed for this years's game...

Re: Capa's Coach Mode Settings

I think a MAJOR issue is the coach mode mechanic in that auto throw takes over AFTER no user input and that leads to the majority of sacks. In my last game DEN sacked Bortles 10 times. After that game was over and I saved it, I took the disk out and put in 2K15 for some player lock action! Haha

Re: Capa's Coach Mode Settings

Yeah...it is SO frustrating because the game is so close to being excellent save for a few tweaks EA needs to make. It's harder when they are this close. Ay least in years past when they were miles away you could take the disc out knowing there was no hope. Now we tweak and tweak thinking we will find the magic formula but no one has. I mean, it is 6 months after launch and we are still playing with sliders!

Ugh.

Re: Capa's Coach Mode Settings

Fortunately I've only had my PS4 and Madden for about 3 weeks or so. But in those 3 weeks I've played more franchise games of Madden than I probably EVER have! 😄

Re: Capa's Coach Mode Settings

How much of an impact does game speed have on coach mode?
