What do you mean you can't participate with the first team you use? I only use the Bears! Does that mean I can't do anything in free agency or resigning with them if I pick them first?

I think it just did that for me because I just simulated to the offseason and it wouldn't let me do anything!!!

Ok so I discovered a big bug after 4 tests.

When I run 32 team CFM this is my set up:


For the other 31 teams

Everything auto except in season resign.

Every single time I sim to the off-season the first team I selected when I set up the CFM does not participate in the offseason in this case the Dolphins.

It will not allow me to do off season resigns, bid on free agents in stage 2, scout players for the draft, and then it does not let me draft either!!!!!

I have run this 4 straight times with the same result. 4 brand new 32 team set ups (so wasting my time resetting up fresh files to eliminate a corrupted save)

So my next test will be to set up a team as the commissioner team that I will not play as and of course everything will be set to auto ( and I will make sure I get all their resigns done in season)

I will then sim to the off season and see if I can control my main team.

I have a very strong feeling when setting up a 32 team CFM offline. Do not select the team oyou want to control first. Pick a team that you have no desire to ever use in the off season and make that the "commissioner" team.

I will report back this afternoon on the results.

But that happens just ask John Fox and Marty Schotteheimer. This happens to coaches. Even if Marvin Lewis wins a playoff game I would not be surprised if he finally gets canned.

No when you wrote about that bug I went ahead and tried to see what happened and that's exactly what happened! I wasn't allowed to do jack!


What kind of stuff is that! I was only controlling the Bears.


I only wanna control like 10 teams, that should still do it right? I just have to make a team like the Browns the "Commisioner" right?

Ok so I re tested with me just controlling two teams and the team I originally went with was allowed to at least resign players
