After years of trying and giving up on default All Madden, and being frustrated with all pro being too easy, I stuck with all madden and just kept trying different strategies. I think Ive finally learned how to play against it. This is the most fun Ive ever had with a Madden game. 3-0 now since I started a blitz heavy defensive strategy and a west coast like offensive strategy.

Well I think I'm close to something.

My biggest issue on default as I mentioned before we're
1.-CPU rushing weak
2.-safeties
3.-OL stick to defenders and no block shading

Well after several games. Still testing though I think I improved these areas by lowering rb to 0 and tackling 30.

The rest on default. I'm happy this is working now

"Zero Slider Theory" is always interesting because the thought is that it "shuts off" the attributes / boosts in that category...

To clarify:

Are you using RBK @ 0 and TAK @ 30 for BOTH the HUM and CPU sides of the ball?

If that's the case, how do the broken tackle stats look?

When I tried HUM TAK @ 40 versus CPU FUM @ 50 the CPU backs were breaking 10+ tackles per game...

Also: Does TAK @ 30 nerf the pass rush, due to pursuit being tied to the TAK slider?

I will have to look at my last games, and i will tell you exactly how many BT they had on how many Att. But i have to agree that BT will be high compared to default setting.

This is a trade off i`m willing to take if the OL don`t get glue to Defenders and my LB get more involved on tackling.

Also another thing i`m noticing is that since Tackling is lower, the DB can`t tackle as good as a LB, before i could play nickel or Dime and still stop Big Running-backs, so that is another good side of the lower tackled.

I will post the screenshot later tonight when i play a few more test games with this setting.

I didn`t notice any effects on the pass rush either but i have to admit that is an area i`m not really looking at it. I still get sacks same as default.

Well this didn't work as good as the first couple of games. I notice that while the final games stats looked good. I started noticing that every run was 2 or 3 Yrds and then a couple of long Yds makes the avg decent. I think I will try to move RB up to 20 or so. Pancakes and sticky OL/DL will be impacted but CPU rushing is my first priority.

These are the RB results on the games I tested with RB at 0

BT does go high. But that is actually the lowest priority.

1.-CPU rushing
2.- safeties not being the leaders in tackles
3-.pancake
4.-tfl
5.-BT

I think those are my priority. 5, 4 and 3 I think i will have to sacrifice to get the first 2 possible.

Yeah, it's a "pick your poison"...

As you can't have it all, under the circumstances...

What turned me off from low TAK versus high FUM was seeing Lynch and Blount break a handful of tackles on their way to the end zone...

Hopefully, the power backs won't run TOO wild on you...

Yeah, i remember a while back when i was testing this same theory i got every now and then a RB that just break every tackle attempt. I think after one of that is when i quit.

I will try a few more things, if not i will have to deal with it. I just can´t give up!. I say ok, i´m done. and a few days later i´m back trying to find that "sweet spot". lol

Seems we've all moved away from default for similar reasons, So far what's worked for opening up the cpu run game and helping the cpu run D. Keep in mind this is testing from All-Pro 50/50
User/cpu
Rbk: 40/60
Tak: 40/60
Fwiw I've also increased cpu Wrc: 55(improved cpu passing and less sacks allowed by the cpu)
Fum: 45/45(both user and cpu may lose 1 fumble per gm now, more fumbles caused, apx. 2 per gm)
