It definitely depends on who you're using.....I will say that....

As stated on the OP....setting the holding slider to 50 in CFM can tone it down a bit if it becomes a problem.

Indeed. Playing with the Lions and their d line is still pretty good. I really only notice it more on run plays. I have offensive holding at 40 in mm and 50 in CFM. Would going to 51 CFM help or throw other things out of whack. I really can't believe I'm asking for less block shed on running plays! Never thought it would come to that! Happy to have that "problem". 😀

Yeah....that is a very solid d-line - I might've been more concerned if you were using a team with a much weaker line. Wait until you use a team with a bad d-line...the difference can be a bit jarring

As you inch upwards on the holding slider, you'll begin to eat into what little pass rush we have and it will hurt the CPU rush on your QB.

Honestly, I would leave it where it is and enjoy having Ngata and company while you can. If it absolutely becomes a game-breaker for you, you can try 51 - but just be aware of the potential consequences.

Re: JoshC1977's M16 Sliders

Just restarted my CFM using all of the settings on the op except for 10 min quarters and fatigue at 55 (I tried the higher fatigue settings but I just couldn't abide the high number of O'line subs...even on 55 I still might get an Line sub on drives over 12 plays). I have to say, barring some new monumental find, or and update from EA that screws everything up, these are about as perfect as can be for what I look for in Madden which is a true sim experience, where what determines outcomes are the actual ratings of the players.

I played the first 2 games of my beloved Steelers franchise and as you can see from the box scores, the outcomes are pretty much what you expect (Brady got hurt in the pre season so he wasn't available for the first game as it should have been in real life with his deflating cheating ***) My D gives up a ton of yards through the air, and my Offense is pretty much unstoppable. What was really awesome to me was how much harder the passing game was in my second game against SF after Ben went down. It was a struggle just to throw an accurate pass where with Ben I can pick most Defenses apart. Additionally , I had a bitch of a time running the ball against NE while it was pretty easy to hang 200 on SF. Other than lack O'line injuries, I really don't have anything to complain about. Thank you Josh and everyone else who has contributed to this thread.

Re: JoshC1977's M16 Sliders

adickerson....those games look terrific. It looks like you still got some rotation (even with 55 fatigue) and I like how the different QBs put up different numbers which seem to reflect their relative ratings.

Yeah man....pretty good rotation all around....And there was a very noticeable difference between Big Ben and Landry Jones. Kaepernick's inaccuracy was very noticeable too.

A very good start here...
I've gone 1-2 since going w/ acc clock off, keep in mind I'm also using 32 team control so each teams starter has their player scheme matched to the coaching scheme and it only brings out the best for the cpu imo.

Re: JoshC1977's M16 Sliders

After doing some testing with my friends, we found out that after patch 4, player skill sliders now only affect user controlled players and cpu sliders control the cpu and the player's cpu players as well. Very interesting. Other than that, this slider setup is awesome
