I didn't have a chance to post this over my holiday vacation, but since there are questions, here is what I am now using. This has not been posted previously but is likely my final set (aside from better defining DPI). The following is being posted as the new OP:

Skill Level (Intro/Main/CFM): All Pro/All Pro/All Pro or All Pro/All Pro/All Madden
Game Speed: Normal
Helps: off but, optional
Quarter Length: 9 minutes (other lengths may work)
Minimum Play Clock Time: OFF
Injuries: 70
Fatigue: 62 (best for 9 minute quarters)
Player Min Speed Threshold: 50Assists: ALL OFF except for Ball Hawk (see below)

Penalties (Key to get proper gameplay)
This setup is designed to give less "sticky" line block interactions.
Offsides: (MM - 50) (CFM - 60)
False Start: (MM - 50) (CFM - 60)
Offensive Holding: (MM - 40) (CFM - 50)
Defensive Holding: (MM - 55) (CFM - 55)
Facemask: (MM - 45) (CFM - 45)
Illegal Block ITB: (MM - 50) (CFM - 50)
RTP: (MM - 50) (CFM - 50)
Def PI: (MM - 50) (CFM - 49-54)
All others set to "on"

These must be set in the main menu as well as CFM.

WHY DEFAULT GAMEPLAY SLIDERS?
Honestly, the game plays terrific on default AP with just a couple of warts (tackling and lineplay being too sticky). The penalty slider and autosub adjustments have made these non-issues and have greatly enhanced the gameplay and challenge.

WHY IS BALLHAWK TURNED "ON"?
First of all, props to KingV2k3 for this suggestion. This setting really changes the types of animations seen and for the better. I'm still honing-in on the best DPI setting (currently liking 50 MM/49CFM - but it shows signs of being a tad too loose). I have seen the following effects:
  • Fewer "warp-assisted" INTs
  • More violent pass break-ups
  • Far less suction tackling and more broken tackles (but in a realistic manner)
WHY THESE AUTOSUB SETTINGS?
The higher the autosub values, the more "aggressive" the players play. The high QB autosub helps the QB from going into "checkdown mode" which is the number 1 cause of "Robo QB" stat lines. O-line play is overpowered on default, but thankfully, we can counter this with a low autosub value.

ARE THERE HOUSE RULES?
Just one - if it doesn't happen on Sunday, don't do it.

CAN I PLAY WITH THESE ON COACH MODE?
I don't play on coach mode, but frankly, I think that these will work great!

I just posted my current setup (default-based....do not modify gameplay sliders for All Pro). This set should alleviate your issues with regards to tackle animations and so on. I would not suggest modifying the TAK sliders, that will start you down one massive slippery slope.

All Pro is pretty much "cheese free", regardless of sliders used. I strongly recommend default All Pro this year with my penalty adjustments to enhance it.

WR/DB interactions are tricky this year. You main tool is the DPI slider, which affects how close the WR and DB are to each other. It starts getting unrealistically tight above 55, to the point where the CPU QBs will start checking down to the Tight End all the time.

Thank you for posting this, is there anything I can do to get to the CPU QB as he has all day to stand back and throw? Have you seen this issue?

for me it depends on who I am playing. I got 4 sacks against Bucs, 1 sack vs Rams, and 2 sacks vs panthers so far.

Not with this current set and it isn't just with the pressure I create with the usered d-line.

I put in the set you just posted and it is playing better. Thank you for all your hard work.

I have always thought that EA determines before games if the PC is going to win or if it is going to be competitive and I still feel that way.

Have you guys ever felt like the game was decided before it was played?

That also makes sliders difficult is if EA gives the CPU some kind of ratings boost before the game it makes me think the set is not working.

I guess that is the only way to build in a team not showing up or another team being really motivated.

For example I can play a team and have a great game, then play that team again and I cant do anything.
