Alright well perfect, my next two games are against Jacksonville (Mettenberger) and Dallas (Romo) so I'll report back my takeaways from the two games some point this weekend.

Having trouble stoping the passing game. I put scandrick at the bottom of the depth chart and im starting Tyler Patmon. I did the same thing with Mcclain and Hardy cause of suspensions and i got Mcrary hurt in preason for 6 weeks so my backup is playin safety. Eli put up 400 plus on me (god forbid)......im hoping the slight decimation of my secondary is the cause, and the ratings are really displaying/being a factor this year.....if not, do you have any suggestions i could use to tighten up the pass D. If not, im gonna run more games until McCrary, Hardy, and McClain comes back and see if my D production changes.....

Ratings are undoubtedly playing a role here....plus, the normal ebb and flow of the NFL (I just answered a PM about someone who was concerned about a CPU-controlled Luck struggling against the Jags). Great players have bad games and bad players have great games.

As for your secondary, know your player's strengths and weaknesses....if they suck in M2M, play Zone and vice versa. If they flat out suck, you either need to play very conservative with safeties over the top or go super aggressive and try to generate some pressure by blitzing.

Re: JoshC1977's M16 Sliders

Wow, so I played Jacksonville and Dallas and these were the two strangest games ever, almost like these games should have been flipped, I wish my phone would let me post box scores to do this justice, but the Jaguars game was really challenging and I squeaked by them 25-24, Tom Brady went 20/32 for 269 yds 2 TD and 2 INT for me while, for the first half after Mettenberger went down, Bortles came in and went 10/12 for 116 and a TD, then in the 2nd half, Mettenberger was back and finished 15/26 for 186 1 TD and 1 INT. So then I play the Cowboys and easily won 27-10, I was able to rush much better on Dallas this game, Brady finished 22/32 for 270 with 3 TD and 2 INT, meanwhile Romo struggled and went 22/43 for 284, 1 TD and 2 INT. These sliders have given me two good games but I was just rattled by the Jags giving me a good game, which is fine because the NFL is a crazy league at times.

That's what I am really enjoying with these sliders as well. You just really don't know how things are going to go week-to-week. In the grand scheme of things, the talent separation between the best and worst teams isn't that great in the NFL. Matchups matter and sometimes a play comes down to inches. I believe that this set really reflects that - you just have to be willing to accept that sometimes, crazy things will happen - just as happens in the NFL.

Wilson's first 2 passes of the game were INTs, and I scored off each of them and went up 14-0 within the first few minutes. Seattle played terribly until around the 4th quarter. Also had a weird bug during this game where I fumbled at their 5 yard line in their redzone, they recovered, the one of my guys got a penalty on the play. Seattle ended up with possession in OUR redzone on the 5 yard line. They scored immediately. Weird.
So I restarted my Rams franchise and replayed the Rams/Seahawks game

Seattle: 7
Rams(me): 21

SEA-STL
Total Offense: 264-407
Rush: 132-135
Pass: 132-272
Firsts: 10-18

SEA
R. Wilson: 15/30, 128yds, 50%
M. Lynch: 15att, 122yds, 8.1avg, 1td, 71long
F. Jackson: 4att, 11yds

STL
C. Keenum: 23/35, 292yds, 65%, 2td, 1int
T. Gurley: 19att, 56yds, 2.9avg, 1td, 1fum, 9long
T. Mason: 16att, 71yds, 4.4avg, 22long

Seattle's playcalling was weird, seemed like every other play was a screen and Wilson would only throw checkdowns. He only had 70 yards passing going into the 4th. Seems my WRs make a lot of crazy catches that the CPU can't. If Seattle's WRs would have held on to even half of the catches they would have given me a game.

Seattle is a really weird team....they have Wilson, Lynch, and Graham but no quality WRs and their O-line is very mediocre. I've played them a couple of times and they really don't impress me at all. They'll probably be a bit better IRL, but when playing against them on Madden, they're pretty meh. I almost think the AI knows their receivers/line suck and adjusts playcalling accordingly.

Any secret to getting that 50-50 split between HBs? Or do you manually switch. I've been trying!!
