I tried it and it's a stupid amount of work and not worth it in my opinion. It did help some though.

Side note. think im sticking 4-3 this season. Been trying out spotlight and individual coverages more, seems to help more. Got Lion away in my season opener. Followed by my nemesis Panthers.

Try shading DB's inside too...helps a bunch on the slant routes.

I can't seem to stop the cpu offense, i've allowed 40 in back to back games, granted I'm the Colts so that's okay, i'm still getting used to the whole no switch assist thing, i love these sliders and once i figure out how to get my defense straightened i'll be able to actually stay competitive for more than a half.

1st have to look at personnel and your players ratings. This make a huge difference. I went and got good coverage rating DB's and LB to help. And now have 2 very good and fast DE. Beasley and Bennett.
2nd Have to have defense formation/scheme that matches your personnel and strengths.
3rd see my posts previous about spotlighting and individual assignments, use this for other players you are not controlling in D.
4th if you player lock, no switch, pick a position you can play, i always do D line.
