I've been playing around a lot with the Autosub settings and am gaining a much better understanding of the effect that they have on the gameplay.

Long story short, the higher the autosub setting, the more "aggressive" the players at the position play. Now, this "aggression" manifests itself in different ways. Here are some examples:

QB: They force more throws into coverage and attack downfield a bit more.
RB: This one is interesting. At high autosub settings (even the 78/90 on the OP, RBs move straight ahead and don't really show a lot of elusiveness. This is great when playing guys like Blount or Hyde, not so good against Charles or McCoy.
WR: The higher, the more aggressive (and effective) WRs are in making spectacular catches. Drop it down, and they drop more passes.
TE/FB: Not really studied, but I think it is similar to HB/WR depending on whether they are running/catching.
OL: The higher it is, the more they really try to get to the defender for the block (and they sometimes miss in the open field) - i.e., more drive blocking. I think lower settings make them a bit more passive and they rely more on holding (leading to more 'sticky' lineplay. All things be equal, the CPU has a better run game with the O-line subs up to default 60/80.
DL: The higher it is, the more aggressive in attacking the o-line.
LB: This is the one I am struggling with. I think that this affects pursuit angles. At 60/80, I saw some pretty extreme tackling angles (to the point where THEY were engaging the blockers instead of the other way around). For those of you familiar with previous years' penalty sliders, it works similarly to the KRI slider.
DB: At 60/80, they go after the ball relentlessly. With the default INT slider, this leads to some pretty nasty INT numbers (and warping). At lower settings, they play more balanced - sometimes playing the receivers, sometimes playing the ball.

Long story short, this is what I am running with for autosubs right now. The line matchups dictate a lot more of the outcome on the run game (as it should) but the elusive RBs are a lot more dangerous.

I'm going to add this as my new OP autosubs setup as I really think it is better after playing half a dozen games or so with various teams.

(This is 9 minute quarters, 60 fatigue, no acc clock)

Broadcast my game against Saints with new autosubs. Both my HB's 100+, Ryan high %. Not sure if Saints just suck, very possible. Haha fitzpatrick their qb. I won that game like 45-24. Was tight 1st half, then cpu seemed to disappear in 2nd.Next game against Rodgers and Packers, so shall see. Sorry not on all weekend. Was trying the division beta.

Worried that the autosubs dumbed down cpu to much. Maybe a in-between for these and 60/80? Anyone else with thoughts?

You still running with INT at 45? If so, that might be your issue.

This game can be so weird and seems at times vastly different for everyone. I have only played one game with the the new auto subs. Was on all 60/80 prior. Using the new auto subs I had the best and most fun game to date. Browns CFM playing the Chargers. Lost 31-19. Close the first half and the Chargers took control the second half. Prior to that game, using 60/80 auto subs, I beat the Jets by 3, blew out the Titans and Raiders. I found the 60/80 set up to be much much easier especially on offense. Could be the strength of the teams I was playing but noticed a steeper challenge offensively and defensively using the new auto sub set up. One game is certainly not enough but I'm very encouraged by what I've seen so far.

Im going to of course try more games. Was just observing 1st game felt different and easier as game went on. Maybe just opponent. Just having 2 100+ rushers threw me off.

Lowering the db autosub in concert with your INT drop may weaken the CPU defense a tad too much, that is all I am saying. I know you will get more sample size, but if it persists that may be the culprit. Just more of a head's up than anything.
