Had my first shootout of the season against the colts. Both teams put up over 500 yds of offense, over 350 passing yards

Re: JoshC1977's M16 Sliders

My oh my how much has changed since I have been gone. So...after all this testing and heartaches the root of our problems has pretty always been revolving around the default preseason rosters and default slider together? LOL man...makes sense but at the same time I get this face palm feeling with it. I almost feel bad for Rex and his crew because they cant scrap the whole code and start over so they are forced with this meat puppet of mistakes and trying to uncover them just like we are. Oh well...so Josh...I am reading the OP and it says Traditional and Default...am I to assume just change to your default autosubs in both the MM and CFM? Did I see that correctly? Also, you guys are tracking the run off time mess right? its effects something with the progression of the day to night ordeal. Or did that change too?

Yes, you are correct, the change between default and traditional is simply the autosub and fatigue. I recommend the default setup (50 fatigue and 60/80 autosubs in both mm and cfm).

I also still recommend the 9 minute quarter and no accelerated clock.

You get offseason in yet? What are your plans? Im out of town, no madden until next tuesday for me. Everyone having good realistic games post patch? Bigger sample size.

Looking forward to your update and what the not so great news is Josh. Hopefully the not so great news is just related to your cfm and not the fragile system that is Madden!

Re: JoshC1977's M16 Sliders

Let me put the fears to rest, the "bad news" is not related to the gameplay or anything...but to my CFM (where I lost Gurley until week 13 when simming preseason....grrr....)

Anyways, I ran through the offseason last night. I let a lot of old vets go and decided to replenish my depth with youth. Here are some bullet points:
  • Foles wanted a 1 year deal, so I resigned him, hoping to grab a young QB in the draft.
  • My big free agent splurges were on Sean Smith and Greg Hardy. Smith filled a need at the number 1 CB spot. Hardy allowed me to re-shuffle things on the front 4, where I moved Chris Long inside to DT to replace Fairley. So, I have Hardy at RE, Quinn at LE, and Long/Donald at the DT spots.
  • I traded Laurinitis for cap relief and draft picks and signed Kevin Minter to replace him.
The draft had some interesting points, where nearly every position of need was a draft class weakness. I had to maneuver around quite a bit, but was able to grab:
  • A 79 overall CB (quick development)
  • Two mid-70s interior lineman (normal)
  • An 80 overall DT (quick) in the 4th
  • A low 80s FB
  • And the intriguing guy....a 4th round, 69 overall QB with 98 THP and Superstar development (but crappy accuracy). His size, arm, and the fact that he is from Michigan State, reminds me a lot of former Ram Tony Banks.
In a lesser deal post-draft, I acquired Marqise Lee from Jax for picks and added a couple of low-end vets to fill the roster.

Desperate for a backup HB after Gurley went down, I went dumpster diving and picked up TJ Yeldon (74 overall) after the Jags picked up Ivory and an absolute stud rookie HB. Hoping to get him enough carries with Tre to build-up his value and maybe trade him in the offseason.

We still have about $20 million in cap room but only have 5 picks in the next draft (missing 3rd and 4th rounders). All things be equal, my squad (now the Salt Lake City Elks) are in pretty good standing.

Going to start season 2 shortly.

Re: JoshC1977's M16 Sliders

I finished 6-10. Had a solid draft, no one was under 74 OVR. Biggest draftee was a projected 5th round QB I took in the 3rd. 84OVR, 89 throw power, 87 short&medium acc, 73 deep. Play action is low, but if plays break down I can always scramble because this guy has 94 spd
