Re: Flazko's True NFL Realism Sliders (All-Pro)

Flazko,

You mentioned a tips section previously. Where can I find this? I specifically need defensive help, as defending the pass is killing me. Offensive help would be good, as well.

I struggle to stop the pass, especially on long yardage situations. It doesn't matter what formation, blitz, defensive adjustment or anything else I use, there seems to be a CPU receiver running open and there's an 80% chance they will convert on a 3rd and 15+.

Pass defense is a bear. Seems a CPU receiver is running open regardless of my formation or adjustment. Sticks frequently sees a receiver behind for a first down anyway. A deep zone on 3rd and 15 seems to allow a receiver to get the first no matter. I'm just really struggling with basic pass D.

I'm with you. I started a new season last night, first game against the Jags. Bortles completed 22-26 passes and it just didn't matter what I did to try and stop it there was always one defender out of place.

Also I noticed tackling is not as consistent even when proper leverage is used on a gang tackle.

I still had a challenging game though that was fun just the QB things was tough.

Re: Flazko's True NFL Realism Sliders (All-Pro)

Here's a comment I posted earlier for an other person having trouble :

Ok so best tip I can give is run man coverage 90% of the time, zone coverage is a joke in this game even with a good defense like Denver or Carolina, but what you need to do to help a lot with the pass is, when you Press the Y button it brings up options for your coverage, you can set your coverage to cover the outside of the field, inside of the field, over the top, or underneath, so this is all depending where you think the pass is going, you can even set your coverage to not allow the first down by clicking the "sticks" option ( I believe it's pressing the LB button). The one thing I always do is tap the left trigger and it brings up options to where you can predict the play, depending on the formation the cpu called I predict what I think, so you move the right stick up to predict a pass, you can even go into an option where you can click on a specific WR and either spotlight him so everyone watches him or you can pick options where you "shade him" either to the left or to the right, depending if you think he's gonna cut in or out in his route, the power is all in the left trigger and the Y button when on defense to stop the pass , go to practice mode and look at everything it offers, get used to what it all does so that way you can have it down quick, to me it's all muscle memory from playing Madden for so many years, you have to get it down good cuz the cpu doesn't give you much time to make your adjustments. Trust me that all the options the left trigger and Y button offers helps quite a bit in stopping the pass , it's gonna take some practice.

Here's a video that hopefully helps : https://youtu.be/4HP5hevVBOU

Re: Flazko's True NFL Realism Sliders (All-Pro)

Remember I stated that if your team isn't good at certain things, don't expect my sliders to help assist those areas, if anything those areas will be exposed, for example my Cowboys are good at defending the run but not so great at defending the pass so I have to work with what I got.

I can try my best to explain things to help with words but remember, YouTube is our friend, there's tons of videos with specific tips for madden.

Re: Flazko's True NFL Realism Sliders (Madden 16)

I get what your putting down. I use the coverage adjustments but probably not as well as I should. I might have to try more cover 2 man since my safeties are the ones getting beat most often
