A couple of slider/penalty questions answer about Madden 17

Kind of disappointed that they think default gives a realistic amount of penalties.

I played a full season and averaged a little over one a game on default. I didn't average 60 plays only about 50 but that should be 5-6 a game anyway.

Maybe the reason there aren't as many total penalties is because Madden does have all the penalties?

I like the other response as far as fixing legacy issues with sliders.

Hopefully that means they will work 100% right and be more sensitive

I'm actually OK with the holding slider being reduced....it had such a deleterious effect on the lineplay; making it far too 'sticky'....hopefully the retuning will help that issue....we shall see....

First thing I am doing is playing on All-Pro default and tweaking penalty sliders before making any game play slider tweaks. I think that will make development of a good solid simulation style all-pro set much easier.

Madden 16 was the first time (for me personally) I was able to lock in a solid base set fairly quickly. This news of tuning legacy issues with sliders is potentially great news.

That is going to be my approach as well, default sliders, autosubs, and roster. Then tweak penalties, fatigue, and ballhawk as needed.

Me too but, I'll be going All Madden. it might rip me a new one but, I'm looking forward to playing the CPU and humans this year at AM level.

Yeah the comment about penalties already being tuned to accurately portray real life took me by surprise because I thought on default you rarely saw penalties in Madden 16.

If we learned anything from Josh's year long slider endeavor with 16, it's that the game is getting better and better closer to default sliders.
