Also, can I 'retire' the coach right after setting the playbook, or should I play against that team first?

Re: JoshC1977's M17 Sliders

just finished my first game. I came away with a 13-10 victory. animations were great and every play was earned. I even had a great rush by Quinton Patton for 13 yds on an end around. only concern I have is the CPU completion percentage. I had a decent game at 70% but Goff left the game with an injury in the 1st quarter with 80% and Keenum finished the game with 86%. Most of the completions came off of dump offs, however I was running a lot of cover 3 with curl zones(the purple), so that should be taken into consideration.

Already seen this a few times now. Look at 82 on the right. He runs a post to the outside wide open. Mariota instead of hitting him and look upfield, just dumps it off.

Re: JoshC1977's M17 Sliders

Some more stats with these sliders. 1st half score 14-13

Total Offense Cin 221, Pit 231
Penalties Cin 1-10, Pit 1-5
TOP Cin 7:48, Pit 10:12

Dalton 7-10, 124 (62 yard TD pass), 1 TD, 1 fumble (usual QB fumble)
Ben 15-23, 195, 0 TD, 1 INT

Hill 10 for 50
Bernard 1 for 58 (TD run)
Bell 14 for 40, 1 TD

I noticed with the CPU backs that they can hit a clear hole and instead of getting into open field they make a move which allows the User defenders to catch up. Don't know what slider would effect that, but I don't want to mess around with anything in your set as I like the way its playing. Seeing 3 and outs on both sides, tough to get punt return yards. Did have one play that was clear defensive pass interference on my part and it wasn't called.

Re: JoshC1977's M17 Sliders

I think player scheme settings & player traits are an influence on how CPU players perform, especially QBs. I recently played a game against BAL (Flacco is set to Strong Arm). He rarely checked down and most of his passes were 10+ yards. I sacked him several times as he was looking for open receivers downfield when he could have checked down.

With that in mind I believe it is key to look at schemes & traits as well and not just sliders. If I understand correctly, the direction of this slider thread is to get the physics working first. Once that is done, then we can see how other aspects influence how players act within the game.

I'm going to try and play games with settings as posted and then replay the same game with different scheme and trait settings. Hopefully I'll be able to see more of how the physics are and where perhaps they are lacking.
